  I did not listen to ur upload, but siricha kollimalai kuyilu is from "Jyothi"not "BP Railway gate" , however if anyone can upload "maalainera kaatre vaalthichellu" by Krishna chandran, in BP Railway gate I will appreciate that

  I was surprised to find that IR had sung a version too. I seem to recall having heard that song before but I couldn't figure out who had sung it. And believe me, I would remember if it had been IR singing. The reason I made that comment, although it was a light hearted humour in response to Raj's posting, is that I have really never liked IR's voice. It was this big decision made in my early years before ARR and the crew came along. Nowadays, I suppose since I have become accustomed to the voices of ARR, Suresh Peter, Sivachidambaram and all the other MD's that have started to sing, I don't mind IR singing much. But I hate it when he destroys sweet romantic numbers by singing them himself. But for sure, IR's voice is great compared to Deva:-)) Seriously.

  can you check up on the link to the song 'naa erikarai'. Both the links you gave don't work. Do you have the KJY version. IS there a female part in the song too?
  
  Any ways, I been listening to the song 'machi mannaru' from your site over and over again. What does 'machi mannaru' mean? Also 'bEjaaru' and 'dakkaru' and 'daavu'? Also 'thamu thamu' and 'sallu sallu'? I have suddenly got the feeling that I don't know my tamil well:-)) Oh yeah, and Chitra has made this song a great treat to listen to!!!:-))

  Those words are Madras slang's
  I mean machi means "machinan"
  bejaaru is for trouble..
  Daavu is for super figure or girl
  
  i think i will stop with this.

  But what does 'Mannaaru' mean? I am listening to the song right but the meanings you gave and the song don't make sense.
  
  Anyhow, the song is not too bad.
  
  But hey, the real treat that I found in Shibu's page today is 'Malarae pEsu mouna mozhi'. Even IR's voice sounds nice next to Chitra's golden voice. It's really is awesome. I have heard on some other site before and on the radio but it sounds really clear. Thanks Shibu! You guys keep on doing the great work. Ummm...can't wait to hear 'Friends'. So what songs do you plan to upload on the 18nth RB? Please put some really nice 'dapanguthu's' and 'melodies'.

  I am trying to put songs which have been a hit but does not appear in most websites like songs of agni natchathiram etc.Where all the songs were hit but only 1 or 2 will be on the site.I will try to get all those songs in my site.

  Shibu, thanks sooooooooooo much. The pallavi is so fantastic, but the charanam slowed down a lot and became predictable. But, I love the preludes and the interludes. I think the bit scene I saw and liked it too much because of the slow motion shot of Prabhu's dancing. Very apt mood. I have to go and listen a lot of the many many new songs you have got there all of sudden!!!

  Balaji, Shibu and Vels: surely, lots to catch up on with your past and recent uploads.... Thanks much guys. Right now, I am bowled by the song of Periya Kudumbam. If it were for a Kamal film, I felt the charanam of the song would have been more melodious just like the beginning stanza....

  I checked with your site for the song "Sevvarali Thottathilae..." Definitely it has been recorded at a slow rate compared to actual speed. The song actually runs for 4 minutes 7 seconds(ignoring millisecond level changes). But the song from your site runs for 4 minutes and 52 seconds. Please check it. Or may be I can upload mine.

  I am really sorry if I had hurt you in any manner. I thought it was just a fact that most tamil people excepted because I had read in so many magazines which critisize him about his songs and voice. And I have heard many people around me say that too. Truly, I have great admiration for the man himself and my comments about his voice was not to insult him. He has even mentioned in an interview about his voice. But I was not trying to be mean or anything. I have mentioned in other threads about other singers who were not appealing and even in this mentioned some that aren't so great. I know that you are a great fan of IR's voice...now...and I do feel terrible that I have typed anything that you feel offensive. Anyhow, maybe I should have typed all that in the 'IR's voice thread'. Anyhow, since a lot of us in this forum have at one time or another made such remarks concerning singers I did not think that it would be taken so seriously. Anyways to end, I just want you to know that none of that was in any way an insult to IR. As a music listener I do feel that I should be able to express my feelings. Even IR had once dissed 'seergazhi sivachidambaram' about his voice. I am just trying to justify myself...Anyhow, I know that a lot of people in this forum are IR maniacs and I except that. I am crazy about his music too. And if you back, you will see that all those remarks were light hearted humourous ones. I even put smileys where necessary. Please don't take it the wrong way.
