Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

Actually thts exactly wht the other guy said as well right?He's says Maddy is underrated..which is very much true...ppl fail to recognise Maddy's amazing ability as an actor.
Anyways one doesnt hafta worry abt Maddy's character in the film...going negative ,tht too when there's amazing actor like Surya doing a goody goody kinda character,needs a lot of guts...and am sure Maddy's done an awesome performance in the film.

I dont expect you to be in a level you can judge what is acting and what is not. I estimate you probably started watching movies only after Roja or Jeans! or in a worst case Alaipayuthey!!
I am not fan of any present actors including Vijay or Ajith who just focus on taking advantage of their poor fans and give masalas.
Yet, Ajith and Vijay did gave some surprises! Ajith in Vaali, Mugavari. Vijay in Thullatha Manamaum Thullum, Priyamudan.
Madhavan & Prasanth, no surprises so far. bad dialogue delivery, bad expressions ( For ex. of Madddy, just smiling in 99% of the movie's time frame isnt expressive enough, if you have a little brain!)
Both of the above cant be as average as even Vijay, who atleast able to do a typical comedy atleast to a limit and a decent watchable dancing.

Vijay gave one more surprise too in Kannukul Nilavu. Thank god Madhavan hasnt caught me off guard like that :-)

Well..nope not intentional...I dont consider Dhanush all tht good either.I consider only Vikram,Surya & Madhavan as decent actors amongst youngsters(they are not all tht young though).Anyways opinions differ..so lets stop tht there.

There is no discussion without comparison. Relative performance is important. When you see a movie with more than one lead, dont you compare performances?

The result of continuous comparisons over a period a time is what we have currently on newtfmpage - ARR vs IR.
In my opinion, it is best to judge if a person has done justice to his role. What might have happened if the other person had acted in such a role is purely subjective.

I dont consider anybody good either.Infact I consider them crap when it comes to Tom Hanks,Mel,Sean Penn...now dont say why compare Hollywood actors with Thamizh ones.Acting is acting which ever lang. it may be in....For tht matter I consider only Kamal,Sathyaraj as good actors..Raghuvaran & nasser to a major extent & ofcourse not to forget Naseerusdhin shah & Paresh Rawal( I guess comparing Shivaji & Muthuraman here is an offence).And ofcourse Vijay is good for lighter roles & is amazing dancer..no doubt on tht.Anyways...I dont want to argue in here...as I said earlier opinions differ..thts human tendency...but again...you cudnt possibly comment on my levels of judging...I know ppl think gals know nothing abt acting & fall plainly for looks....which is plain absurd.Anyways...PEACE.

Thats correct. Hollywood is leagues above ours. Perhaps because we are still to realize that acting is not essentially hereditary.

You are just filling the space not reasoning why you were suggesting Madhavan is a better actor!
Comparing Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson etc to tamil actors is plain stupid! There is no comparison not coz tamil cant do better. simply there is no scope for them in any of these movies script, even for Kamal.
