  Guess this will be Vikram's first flop movie after a long time. Highly unfortunate that Vikram is being paired with pretty queens, in the movie of over hyded director shankar.
  Apart from gentlemen and indian rest of his movies were crap.

  Ferrari Kathal Sudugadu chih sadugudu was his earlier flop apart from King and Samurai.

  yea..actually i don't think his movies are in class of MR's movies...but ppl always include him in the class of successful Directors..just KSRavikumar....i don't think he is good...
  
  Selvaraghavan..hyped before consistent product.

  I don't really know if sci-fi subjects will be accepted by people here....they rejected Baba, remember??!! ;-) ... jus kidding ...
  
  Shankar definitely has some potential...comparing him to class of MR definitely isnt on the cards, but he knows what to tell, and more importantly how to tell...'Indian' was absloutely awesome and it still remains one of my favourite films...there was nearly nothing wrong about that film and that's not as easy as it looks
  
  Robot wud do better business with Dhanush, coz he has more luck!! ;-)

  MR and Shankar have two different styles but both are placed together because they are both very successful and know how to tell a story and get the best out of their technicians in all projects.
  
  i still havent seen a flop from shankar all his movies have made money and i have liked all his movies.same with vikram,kadhal sadugudu was avg grosser.but i dont kno abt the other two.but i kno i liked all 3 of those movies mentioned especially king.

  Ok.. Guys comparing Shankar with Mani, he is no less than Mani.It took sometime for Mani to give a good movie.I would like to remind u guys about Mani's earlier movies like PagalNilavu and Ithayakoil which are major disasters.But its not with Sankar.He has come with a Big Bang in his first venture itself.GentleMan.This man was pretty comfortable in directing his first movie.He was very clear about what he wants.Talking about commercial succes he is always a box office favourite.But its not the case with Mani.Mani fails sometime very badly.Instances are Uyirae,Iruvar,Kannathil Muthamittal.Mani's screenplay is always not that great.Only bcoz of his inspiration over Hollywood movies, he stood out.Ram Gopal Varma is the perfect version of Mani.I would say the only movie that had a great screenplay from that legend is Roja.We can take chatriyan into account.But the director Subash made it more interesing with his effecient direction.But Shankar is a master screenplay writer.Talking about class , do u think Mani's movies are always class.If u make a movie about the upper middle class people, that will be a rich portrayal but not the class in presentation.So his presentation is rich but not class.CLass is with K.B,Balumahendra,Mahendran and Barathiraja.

  Hello Mr Bala. Which class does Kadhalan belong to? Idhaya koil and pagala nilavu are any days better than kadhalan or jeans.
  Shankars class Maybe cheap class. And maniratnam is anyday better than shankar.
  And where did KB come into picture. He knows to take movie only in rendu pondaati subject. useless old beggar

  ROBOT should be a hit in Hindi.Most of the actors would suit the title role to perfection.Vikram with good acting potential will be a flop.
  
  Arnold was the chosen one for T1-T2-T3 because of his acting abilities!I wish Shankar considers the follwoing list for casting as ROBOT;with no or little expressions they will do full justice to the role.

  Rajesh Khanna (if the ROBOT gets outdated)

  Salman Khan-a? ... he doesnt even where a cloth on top, metal-na nichayama object pannuvaar! ... ofcourse if there are scenes like those in T1,T2,T3 (the introduction!) he wud be more than a perfect match! ;-)
  u justified why the northies are apt, let me justify why the southies arent!
  1) Rajnikanth
  The robot wud need some swift arm movements and a mouth which closes at the right moment to catch a cigarette! 'Punch' dialogues ellam robot sonna, romba valikkum!
  2) Kamalahasan
  There wudnt be scope for a robot to cry in 'aaaaa...aaaaahhh aaaaah' manner! Also, Kamal wudnt accept if Shankar asks him to wear a metal helmet thingy during the kissing and 'biting' scenes
  3) MGR
  Robots have more variety of emotions!
  4) Vijay
  It wouldn't be good to hear a robot mentioning its name again and again....'Naanthan Robot', 'Bo Kettavanga bayappadum Robot' wouldn't suit the film
  5) PrakashRaj
  If there are dialogues like 'Pannadai' which the Robot says, and so it may face threat from Krishnaswamy etc....and a Robot cannot process and give its output as speech at such high speeds!
  6) Chimbhu
  A Robot jumping from one tree to another is very tough to design...very complex and advanced technology. Shankar wudnt risk it on this fella!
  7) TR
  Shankar wudnt like to take such a film in a Zoo. Mayb he can use him when he takes some film like Jungle Book or something
  8) Vijaykanth
  People may blame Shankar that he was inspired by RoboCop! ... and the Robot isnt capable of keeping its left leg on the wall and soLti soLti kicking the enemies!
