NANDHA- Surely the best release for Deepavali 2001

Nandha seems like it will be the best release for Deepavali. After the poor movie of Alavandhan, which was the only real main competition for Nandha, it is only fair to say that Nandha will be a smash hit. The story is great, the music is great and the direction will be great.Overall the best movie to release?

  Yes I too agree with this statement.I saw the movie Alavandhan and was greatly disappointed. I went with such high hopes and it turned out to be a major let down aside from the great effects.
  Nandha however will be a great movie to watch and I am eagerly awaiting the movie release to see how the music, story and direction come together to give us a great movie that will hopefully go for state award and win.

  I saw Nandha.WOW.What a great movie.Words fail me for this movie.It has a simple story line and the acting is very natural.Surya has been exceptional in this movie and he surely will do well in TF's in future. The BGM was scored very well and I feel it is thebest movie I have seen so far.And I have seen a few. I saw Alavanthan, Nandha. SHajahan and Nandha. Nandha rates first by miles.

  A Fantastice movie. Nandha - the next feather in Bala's cap, as well as in Yuvan's. Neat screenplay, performance of each and every individual, the songs and the BGM, excellent camera work by Rathnavelu, makes this movie a worth-watching. I am sure, Nandha will win in the Diwali race and as well as win the minds of people who are going to see it.

  Nandha has not yet generated any respose through media wait awhile..Comedy made Tenali super duper hit...Technical supermacy andthe fast pace can still make Alavandan a hit and Abay may fail due to lack of star value from north indians angle...

  Alavandaan is very good film...if you tell that Hey Ram is junk...then Alavandan is junk..but if you feel that hey ram is good.. then Alavandan is best.....

  Indian express review on Nandha
  Director could have avoided repetition of scenes and ambience which gives sense of deja vu
  Scenes in remand home is exactly like the mental institution of SETHU
  The weak part of the script is the harah attitude of the mother towards son which looed forced.The tragic end is also almost predictable
  The heroine role of Kalyani is little difficult for Laila as she uses her standard expressions here also
  The review praises Bala for opting for new theme and hails Rajkiran for excellent acting
  Silent on YSR's music but comments good on Surya..
  As it goes Nandha's different theme will not make it to N01 slot as the movie is not going to generate any waves...
  In fact more favourale reviews are there for Manadhai Thirudi Vittai
  Nandha may be a Disaster also wait and watch...

  NANDHAA cannot be a Disaster. In this Diwaali Race, definitely two movies are 100% Disaster. One is Alaavandan. Already negative reviews came for the movie(Eg: FIZy Movies, Tamil Cinema, Rediff.com, The Hindu etc). Another one is, actually it is not a movie, it is tele-serial, by the Legend KB's PARTHAALAE PARAVASAM. Even, the so called musical wizard ARR cannot help PP with his scrap songs, which are already a big flop. Shajahaan- will be a moderate hit. It will run for minimum 50 days, as Vijay is one of the demanding star and has big young start fans. Thavasi, as usual will fail in A centres and run moderately in B and C. But Nandhaa, with good director, good techinicians, excellent performers, refined Soorya, and new-look Yuvan, will win the race. Another movie, which can be compared with NANDHAA is Manathai Thirudi Vittai. Good reviews are coming for this. (see. The Hindu, Fizy Movies etc.)

  I dont know what all you people are talking about.
  
  after 3 days of the movies being released this is the general opinion of the movies:
  1. Good movie worth watching first half ok second half great. Music is big minus. Not as great as expected but still beter than any tamil movies made so far( technically and effort wise)
  2. Parthalae Paravasam: So far the movie hasnt picked up, seems a flop, but critics say KB movies usually have late pick up( KALKI for ex.)
  Minus: Choreography, madhavan has been wasted and Lawrence could have been replaced some one else. Genral consensus is the movie will pick up in a week or two .
  3. Thavasi: This movie is goin to be the definite winner this depavali, yes in all centers.
  4. Shajahan, ok movie like all vijay movies even if crap will run 100 days.
  5. Nandha, good movie, like an art film, some may like it others dont, since music hasnt been a hit unlike sethu, the movie might just manage to squeez out to 75 days
  all other movies not woth mentining including manathai thirudi vittai.!!!

  Though I am a fan of IR I am not fanatical enoough to praise the move based on it's music. Music is just an aspect of a movie. I am saying MTV will be a hit because it is priced low, has exceeded it's low expectation and it's comedy is a sure fire hit. Alavandhan and nandha will do well. I am sorry for Shajahan and PP.

  Many reviws say that MTV is either a " go for it" type or "Certainly watchable" one. So as nandhaa too... No movies get good reviews including aalavandhaan. So, lets start count on Diwali hits from two, MTV and Nandha....
