  the beats from agaya suriyane is similar to the beats from anbe anbe song of jeans and the beats from adi apatha is similar to thom karuvil irunthom from star....a very mediocre album and is very low in par with KM,Nandhaa

  fantastic album with good usage of singers and lyrics.aagaya sooriyanai was the song of the album and definetly going to take the movie some were else like VASEEGARA.HJ has prooved once again and tfm is on his way.

  heres short first impression of the music from SAMURAI.
  
  In order of preferance
  
  
  1.MOONGIL KAADUGALE VANTHU MUNAGUM PAADALAGALE
  (sung by Harinaharan and Tippu)
  
  My favourite pick of the album,I can't remember what song it reminds me of or what raga it is, it's sweet song, with simple chord changes, The instruementation is made up of synth. Bass and percussion and beautiful flute interludes throughout the songs. (would make a nice BGM in the movie)
  
  2. AAGAYA SOORIYANAI OTHRAI
  (Harish Ragavendra and Harini)
  
  It is adverstised as Anuradha sriram singing this song,however I feel that it sounds more like a Harini,I could be wrong. This a anther nice song.
  Starts off with a bass and percussion intor working in opaasition to the female voice humming, it then flows into the songs, once the verse is finished Harish joins in with the same "Oh oh oh" humming, again, the intro sounds similar to something, trying hard to recognise it.

  3. OR NADHI, ORU BOURNAMI, ORU ODAM(?) ENNIDAM
  (NIthya shree and Tushal ?)
  
  A meeting of 2 differnt styled vocalists and musical genres,it's an intresting song, you have Niothyashree songong her song, in carnaticish style and Tushal providing the westewrn vocal support, there are some vocal harmony thrown in, intresting chord changes,need to listen to it for a few times to get used to te pattern of the song and the flow of it, very jumpy. A beuatiful moment (well for me anyway.) is when Nithyashree sings "... naan thedum singaran yen ingillai.." someting along those lines and this harmony comes, nice. also the beiging of the line "Shri raman po"
  
  4.EN MANTHIL MANI OLIYA ?

  Dingu dingu dang dingu dingu dan en manthil mani oliya ?, this could have benn a nice song, I wished the song was sung by someone else,maybe the song might have been appealing, that seem but still it is good song,tries to be a peppy number with a melody, and whats with that saxapone solo after the line "...Manasukkul mansukkul saxaphone vasikkum..." which is a exact copy and paste of
  the saxaphone solo in SALMONELLA DUB's album ?
  
  5.ADI TADI APPATTA
  (sung by Suntha rao and Vadvukkarasi)
  
  first of all I wa so reluctant to listen to VAdivukkarasi sing, and then I thought maybe it's some other Vadivukkarasi,it's one of those typical, ekku thappu, mercury pookal kinda song, I didn't rate this song much,Vadivukkarasi offers support by talking during the song, I don't know, to be really honest, I didn't liten to the song fully, but there is a beautiful, and I mean BEAUTIFUL, caratic violin intreude in this song, so nice. (ah Kuppai thothiyil oru kundumani ?, appa says tat when theres something alright in a bunch of trash)
  
  hey this is not a review of the music soundtrack,
  this is ust what I thought of the music, I can say that I absolutely adored MOONGIL KAADUGALE.
  
  I would love to know what you guys thought of the music.

  Samurai is a dud..hearing albums like these you cant help but aprreciate the prolificity of HJ's predecessors more..these days the very second or third album these guys are worn of their shine..

  fascinated by hearing samurai,HJ is the only one who always keeps his standard high in the tfm and the market as well.this album is the only saviour for the music distributors and the shop keeper who were fed up with rest of the music directors says my friend who has a big music shop in richie street.

  indeed it has only one song (MOONGIL KADUGALE) which is a really a cool number and nice to hear.

  I hope my album does well in Japan. (I came to know that Meena will put in a special guest appearance. Trailer of Yejaman will be in the interval and every 10 minutes of the movie to nail down tthe audience. Hope that will work. If not I recommended modifying the title to Osamurai..)

  very poor effort by harris to ape rahman. sorry to say, i am feeling so disappointed after hearing samurai. let us hope harris will redeem himself with his next releaeses, otherwise i am sure he will soon be dumped into the dustbins of tamil film music history.

  "aagaaya sooriyanai" is a wonderful melody song, Nithyashree's song is also very different and well made,
  
  But Harris sounds very ARRish ... he is not even making any attempts to change it :-(
