  he wanted a tried & tested & successful music this time...not another experiment...

  Rajini is expected to make an announcement about his new film on his birthday. If not his birthday, his fans are expecting some information atleast before the end of this month. Even as speculations are intense, two leading heroines, Jyothika and Trisha are battling it out between themselves to be his next heroine.
  
  Rajini’s fans needn’t be anxious now.
  
  
  Rajini was silent about his next film for a very long time since August 15th. For the past few weeks, he had been busy though about his new film. The moment he saw ‘Saami’, he had chosen Hari to direct his next film. You would have read reports that he is also involved in selecting a screenplay now. This only means that there is no doubt that the film’s screenplay is getting ready.
  
  
  If this is not enough, the president of his fan clubs, Sathyanarayana had confirmed that Rajini would make an official announcement about his new film on either his birthday or within a few weeks.
  
  
  Let’s get to the issue- Now that Hari and Harris Jayaraj have been confirmed for his film, the big question is- who is going to be the heroine? Everybody believes that it might be Trisha. But, it would be an embarrassment if he invites Trisha to co-star with him because she is currently acting in big banner films like ‘Aayutha Yezhuthu’, ‘Ji’ and ‘Gilli’. If Rajini were to begin his film in January, she wouldn’t be able to give exclusive call sheets for the film. This turns the tides in Jyothika’s favor. But, Trisha had called Hari up and stressed rather strongly that she is ready to act in Rajini’s film anytime.
  
  
  Jyothika has planned to quit the industry in 2004 after her marriage. So, she is particular about acting in atleast one Rajini film before the end of her career. Looks like Rajini is very impressed with Jyothika’’s performance in ‘Kaaka Kaaka’. So, she has a slight lead over Trisha right now.
  
  
  So, ‘Dhimsu kattai’ and ‘Maami’ are fighting it out to become his next heroine. Whom would you choose?

  I really don't know what made Rajini to choose HJ. But it may have the following possible impacts:
  
  HJ will outshine or Rajini will disappoint (from music & songs front) (or)
  
  Both will outdo (or)
  
  Both will disappear w/o address.
  
  Rajini does not need great experimentation. So imho, Deva is best suited. Rajini should rethink.

  C~P, I donno if Rajini-Trisha jodi looks more similar to the off-late MGR-Lata combination. Rajini is atleast 2.5 times older than this girl.

  Guys... cool down.. Super * wants to work with the Sami unit.Hari being the leader of the unit would have suggested HJ.And moreover HJ is not that techno in Sami.He has give Tirunelveli ALvaada, Arasamaram kind of songs which drove the movie to its fast pace.Also a foot tapping melody Ayyayo pudichirukku.I think he is the right person for Super *'s movie.He is also looking for this opportunity.And u guys very well know that ARR reached the masses in Tamilnadu only when he composed for Muthu.Still oruvan Oruvan Muthalali stands top on his orchestration.He loves that song so much , that he always plays that song as the first song in all his concerts.mm... Deva won't do justice to super star's movie anymore.FYI.. Shankar or Super * they never ditched ARR.As he is busy with the International projects, they couldn't wait for him.Super * has to give another movie as the fans are very much waiting for that.Shankar has to regain his glory with this Oscar Films Production.Oscar films will never wait for anyone.As all we know that they didn't wait for Isaignani for Thangarbachan's Thendral.This unit will defenitely do wonders for Super star as Hari very well knows that he don't need to lift the image of the star as he did for Vikram, he has to just use this opportunity to prove he is the next S.P.Muthuraman or Rajasekar or Suresh Krissna in Superstar's history.

  who wud bother about the heroine pa...that too in Rajni's last film...u think she'll have any role?? ... she's just gonna be there in the movie and dats just it! ... yaara iruntha enna?! ... ofocurse some stomach burnings can be avoided if its not Trisha isnt the heoine....but Jyothika shud be fine...pinna ennappa Manorama-va jodi-a poda mudiyum? :-)

  Baasha as far as i know is from Hum (Hindi) ... Arunachalam?? ... mm ... can u name the crappy English movie?!! .... i dunno wat made Sundar C copy something and give Arunachalam ... hehe

  Arunachalam is from so many movies man...
  there's even a Malay movie called "BOSS" or something...similar story line, there's also Hong Kong movie with the similar story line...i think it's Sammo Hungs movie....and i saw all this back in mid 90's

  Another Rajini film? It should be "Aiyo," not "Ayya"!
  
  Another Deva soundtrack would be awful. I haven't heard Saamy, but Vidyasagar should be another choice for this film. He did a good job with Dhool, which is basically a Rajini-style film. But will people come to see it if it is the typical Rajini film?

  Rajini himself has said that ARR is his favourite MD and was stunned
  by the score ARR gave for Baba in a rare interview to Dinamalar
  before the Baba movie release. And when Rajini had decided ARR for
  Ayya, ARR due to international assignments, not able to do it. This
  is a loss of sky-high magnitude than Shankar's Robot. And now HJ is
  said to score the music for Ayya.
