Hi,
I salute the great western classical gurus. Though I learnt more of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven in my music schools, my western classical scores are greatly influenced by a composer from south India. Ilayaraja, he is one the greatest composer India has ever produced. I consider his compositions as vitamins to my western classical knowledge. I dedicate this song to him.

Actual fact behind the story,
Of late I was forced do some raja bashing due to various reasons. At times, I use to feel within myself that What I do is not right. Though I love the scores of MSV or A.R.Rahman or anyone, knowing about music, I don’t have the right to trash this composer. This has been haunting me for a month now. Only way I know to clean my hands on this is by composing a song and dedicating it to raja.

I have heard your piece and it is a fine dedication to IR. You are speaking on behalf of all fans of IR when you say that some (many) of us have 'bashed' IR in the past. It is just that we expect more from the 'talented' and feel frustrated that the Amudasurabi is only trickling, as opposed to the flow in the past. Nobody (that has an iota of music sense) can question IR's talents, knowledge, and genius.

But for 20 years he flooded our lives with music. By doing that, he has raised our expectations to the level of a 'demand'. That is why the urimaiyaana kObam!!!!

My sincere suggestion is that you may try more scores and to hang around in the top three places. You may be at some point of time come in the sight of some big-wigs who may be interested in doing some ventures with you.

I had been one of your harshest critics during these Raja bashings of yours - mainly because I felt that if you didnt like his compositions it was fine..but to thrash him and anyone who liked his compositions was unfair- contrary to a lot of people I still am amzaed by his latest compositions--In fact, I used to post only in response to your posts in this forum.

But what you have done here is a class act. Hats off to you!

This note is for the persons who thinks otherwise;

Basically I have about 15 songs in mp3, I started it around June 1999, if I had try to sell music by using rajas name I would have tried it on my 1st song,
I belive in my music, till date I have not tried any cheap methods to market my music and there is no need to do that. Please limit your words,
Remember one thing, I dont gain anything in anyform.

Finally,
This is a genuine attempt, if you belive me listen to the score. Otherwise you go to other threads and starting your routine.
