Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  Amrish Puri needs a good director to make him act. I remember his performances are good in certain hindi movies.
  
  Mani is careful in choosing his cast for the movies. Maybe the role was tailor made for amrish.
  
  Or it doesnt carry that much weight, so that it doesnt matter if amrish puri puts in a good performance or a lack lustre performance

  Amrish puri is quite an old timer of the trade, its indeed surprising MR didn't opt for a fresh face!
  Just happened to watch hindi version of sanda koli song, boy! somebody convince me Bachan jr plays a negative role :)
  he doesn't carry the intensity maddy does.

  AB jr was intense & amazing in the first Yuva trailor...he seems to have done good job(I actually found him more convincing than Maddy which I very much hate to say)....Anyways "Khabhi Neem Neem " is awesome cute!!!!

  I think in this movie ABhishek would put in a good performance. I saw one of his movies, Kuch naa kaho. Guy is good. Problem is everyone compares him with his dad. If you leave the factor that he is Big B's son, and look at him as a separate individual, you would start liking him.
  
  Lets hope Mani has brought the best out of him.
  
  And one more thing, people shouldnt compare yuva and AE.
  
  Thats why Mani is casting diff creq altogether. Else he could have staright away proceeded with all india accepted actors like manisha and arvindswamy in bombay and just dub one.
  
  The movies cater to different audiences. Some scenes are definitely bound to be different..
  
  Like the napier bridge scene, would be different in hindi as it is shot on howrah bridge :-)
  
  Naturally certain scenes would look better in tamil, and some in tamil. As the background also gels with the movie.
  
  In a way this is a clever tactic by mani. People would definitely like to watch both versions.
  
  At the end, it doesnt matetr to him if you like AE or Yuva...

  I trust ManiRatnam too. Even if we feel at present that someone may not fit in the movie, I am sure he would made it look as if the role was tailor made for that actor. That is the mark of a genius.
  
  As regards AE and Yuva. Edhu eppadiyo, the music suits Tamil more than Hindi. I heard the Hindi equivalent of Sandai Kozhi is awesome though. It took a long time and a lot of pestering from curses for me to like it in Tamil! :-)

  U ALL WRONG...how these guys end up in napier road is like this...
  
  Sidd wa on his way to collect his US visa, when he reached Napier road, Surya was blocking the whole traffic protestig for student rights....against BR, then Sidd gets pissed off and tries to confront him...while he walking towards Suray..abt 10 metres away..Maddy comes in a red van, and tris to stab Surya from behind...then Sidd runs towards Maddy and pushes him before he gets to Suray..that's where the bonding happens...
  Maddy is after both Sidd and Surya, Surya tries to convince Sidd that US is waste and asks to join his team, while Sidd, who simply joins Surya's team to get some protection from Maddy.
