Why is he still quiet and making humble notes about the new MDs and their new songs?

His melodies are EVERGREEN! Not a day will close without his songs on the air. His songs have stood the test of time. It was appreciated for variety in tuning, lyrical value, voice variety, orchestral arrangement, styles starting from Hidustani, Carnatic, Folk, Fusion, Quawali, Western - Classical, jazz, symphony etc., remember all in plain and simple Tamil Cinema. His era had tough competitors like KV.Mahadevan, SM.Subbiah Naidu, SV.Venkataraman, TR.Papa etc., who were all stalwarts. One more surprising thing is that he did all this at a "One time single track recording" with the full orchestra playing at one shot. Listen to the rhythm arrangement changes the violin orchestration and the variety of his tunes. You will realise the real Master of the Maestros.

Sometime back there were some disagreement as to
which songs in mella thiRandhadhu kadhavu & senthamizh pAttu were composed by msv.
I remember someone saying all the songs of MTK
were composed by msv (but songs like oorusanam {esp interludes} sound Raja ish to me)...u may want to ask that.

Shankar, according to SPB, MTK melodies were by MSV while IR did all the orchestration (inclduing interludes)...

Senthamizh pattu was clearly raja. what is MTK?
This is news , I did not know that they went hand in hand in composing and orchestrization

Raja is the king of Light Music. Everyone else is below him in all aspects of music. MSV cannot do even 10% of what IR did in music. Don't bluff

Dorai:
Raja is the king of light music. But MSV is the King of Kings of Light music who focussed the Light-Gnana Oli (Know the meaning of Gnanam?) in light music. Being courteous and letting others also to work cant be considered as hiding. It is a decent gesture to enjoy the work he gets with films, producing films, TV, acting and composing traditional devotionals for his mental satisfaction. Such dedication will only send the whiplash back to the sender as deserved and destined by Lord(for a** of pg).
He cannot do even 10% of what IR did in music. Yes, because he is IR and this man is MSV who did 200% to music in all forms and styles of music just having cinema concept in mind. Iam sure IR cannot do what MSV has done and still does for his age, still being active.
Iam sure MSV cannot do music like IR! MSV can compose only such songs which is still on the air surpassing the 76-96 songs, sufficing all situations joy or sadness, love or hatred, philosophy or revolution, you have song which "touches" your heart with the tune enriched lyric heard day in and day out even today like a fresh new song.
AV Ramanans "Sapthaswarangal" is a proof in practicality, where you see even kids bing comfortable with MSV songs while singing.
Dont try to fiddle with this household name of tfm undercover as IR fan. Even IR will not approve your statement. ARR has already said this in his interview. There is no MD without MSVs Bathippu. He is a LEGEND BEYOND COMPARISON!

guys,
msv is first person to do a light music show on stage. Also regarding msv and ir works, all the tunes were by msv and ir did the background scores. Ir had mentioned in his interviews, he dared to compose tunes in front of mellisai mannar was his statement.
pg: I never knew you were so cheap. :(
MSV was composing till 85's, now I can ask you where is so called lord of king of music..etc, gone hinding ? when a kid of music came into picture..and kicked his ......
But I dont want to behave as cheap as you. Everyone had their time. , msv had his time. Try reading Mukta's book on history of tamil film industry, you will know more about msv.
Without any doubt he is the man who has set the mood for any song. He is great reference for any composer. I can quote various examples from history but frankly I am not interested to educate you. I care less for your mean head. Just keep in mind.,.MSV's fame will never slip even by an inch, just for the reason IR fans dont not know about MSV.
Btw: Dont brand me as an arr fan or msv fan, I love ir songs (ONLY) more than you.
If you do so go ahead I am proud to support msv, he has done lots to TFM.
TFM is not a Monopoly to IR.

Dear vvn,
I am fan of MSV and a fan of IR.
NChari started a flame war when he wrote MSV was 'Master of Maestros' (Please do remember that Maestro refers to IR) and a flame war is what he will get.
MSV was great - a true genius in every sense of the word but if you want to start a flame war IR vs MSV I am ready for it.

Pg:very funny.
maeˇstro Pronunciation: 'mI-(")strO, noun Etymology: Italian,
a master usually in an art; especially : an eminent composer, conductor, or teacher of music
I think many would feel msv fits this description.
once again this word is not a "monoploy" to IR.
btw: war between IR and Msv..frankly msv fans are peace loving people and will not waste time with you folks here, They will not compare msv with ir or xxx(replace xxx name of 3 male memebers of 3rd rock from the son)
They know very clearly how good those songs were.

vvn..with due respect to your age and wisdom, isnt it ridiculous to be participating in a forum when you dont care whether other's trust about your credibility/reliability and/or you doubt others musical skills/knowledge ? As far as I know a forum is where we exchange ideas and learn things from each other. It is quite possible there will be disagreements on subjective things. But ultimately we will try to separate more and more objective things from the subjective things.

kiru, I have made it clear...i dont want go thru same pazaya pallavi..and get into a war.
what pg and others have stated was so cheap.
, Tell me one thing...When some one calls "X" a great musician, I dont know why IR fans are getting offended. I am also IR fan...but I dont think MSV is a person what pg or dorai have posted. that too kicked his what not....cha padikave....kevalame iruku..
thats it. so long, I will not be posting again, dont bother to reply.
