Hi All..
did anyone noticed the backmasking done by Bharadwaj in this song...
he backmasked 1 line....twice....

can anyone recall any other song with the same effect?

Backmasking is playing a song in reverse.

Backmasking can be used to send message to subconsious mind too...there a few American songs, which if bakcmasked can hear they praise Satan, Evil and stuff...it's a bit spooky.

Pink Flloyd did it first, with intentional backmasking though.
so when u listen to them via normal player...u would hear some gibberish.

"inrekiklidhaka nainu" is not really a backmasking...

backmasking means...reverse the phoentic sound.

For your info i am a part time sound engineerin and stuffs like reverse effect is juz 0.01% of a music... Try to concentrate on the 99.9%... OK, I'm back and I've figured out what was the message in the "backmasked" portion of the song. It says "All hail to Barathwaj, the new master of tamil film songs...O podu!"

Hehehe...ok, seriously...I found a software in a website and after analyzing the portion pointed out by Paran (which in my MP3 is actually from 02.45 - 02:50), it says "May madham 98ill Major aanene"...yes, it's actually the chorus of the song that is backmasked.

Now I can sleep easy.

If I'm right, I think K.B used this in Ninaithale Inikkum. Rajini will get a recorded cassette and S.V. Sekhar will explain the technique and fix for Rajini with which he will roam around the streets trying to find the girl.

Yes. It is used in Ninaithale Inikum. In the cassette some lady records her speech reversely and passes to Rajini. SVSekar helps Rajini to understand that. I think it was Jayasudha who had sent the cassette to him.

Any backmasking or not , what I noticed was that the rhythm of the song was a straight lift from the recent hindi remix chartbuster "Kaliyon ka chaman jab banta hai" (which may have been lifted from ..??..)... In fact the first time I heard the song starting I think it's the hindi song that's going to play..!!!
Donno if anybody noticed/felt likewise...

Dil Se, Just Before the First Stanza you will be able to listen to the Back Smashing between the pauses in the Flute Peice... Just Wonderful...
