  Veenai Kodi Udaya Venthaney is the first part followed by Sangeetha Sowbakyamey. This is in the record. When I saw the film in Paragon Theatre, Madras, the two songs were cut off. So I do not know the sequence.

  Also, there is a beautiful song in the movie Agathiyar. I have been under the impression that this must be KVM's composition but thanks for the info. that the MD for Agathiyar is Kunnakkudi.
  
  The song I am talking about is a competion song between Agathiar and Ravanan. Seerkazhi acting and singing for Agathiar and TMS singing for Ravanan. The song is very creatively penned and composed. It is a ragamalika and like the song 'Oru Naal pothuma' in thiruvilayaadal has the words of the raga mixed in with the lyrics. Moreover, there is plain swara singing towards the end where both the people attack one another with swara's alone as words (for example--Ma Ni Tha,--Ni--, Pa Tha Ga, Ma Ni Tha--meaning--manitha nee pathaga manitha!!
  I wish every fan of TFM should listen to such wonderful & creative compositions and be proud of our ancestory and achivements, especially when we hear to present day tune lifting by absolutely spineless MD's.

  Kunnakkudi always struck a great symbiosys with KD. Like in "Marutha Malai MaamaNiye", he deliberately introduced complex santhams (he said this in an interview) for which KD almost instantaneously came up with words like "Athi CharavaNa MuthuKkumaranai Maraven" and "Malayathu Kadalathu.." etc. KD is also supposed to have bowled over Chinnappa Devar with the line "Devarin Kulam Kaakkum velayya".

  You have forgotten the songs from Karnan. Maharajan Ulagai aaluvan based on ragam karaharappriya. Also the gropu song on karna maamannan. These are great compositions by KVM.

  I think there is some confusion about this song "Veenai Kodiyudaiya Vendhane". It is a very old movie and not Agathiyar. I do not think it was sung by Sirgazi also. If I remember It must be Trichy Loganathan and C S Jayaraman. Besides it will be in Question answer type.

  Venba Paduvadhu entha ragathil irukkavendum?
  Then there will be a small stanza in that ragam.

  Sampoorna Ramayanam.
  This is also a sequence depicting Ravanan's
  talent of veenai.
  (In Agathyar also there is a sequence
  of Ravana+veena)

  some of this mans music was fine but most were utter rubbish. too obsessed with p.susheela and tms and their duets were enough to make you vomit! it was created for the untouchables and the uneducated.give me naushad shankar jaikishan c. ramachandra anil biswas salil choudhry and we are talking of the class in indian and western music.
