New Page for Rare Hits of Ilayaraaja

  I think 'En Vaanile Varum Anbe Vaa' is from 'Thambikku Enda Ooru'. The confusion is perhaps because of the fact that both are Rajni-Madhavi starrers.

  hi,
  the services of this home page with rare ilayaraja songs are very good and interesting. but i have a comment towards adding more older songs (1975-1985). one in my opinion they were typically ir songs, i think later he had to adjust his tunes according to the demand of the people and there was a compromise in quality. but that is not bad. here is something more important, new songs can always be bought in a store (cd or Tapes), old songs are very difficult to get, unless some services like yours provide it. iam not complaining, but just a suggestion.

  I listened to the song "Kannanae Nee vara Kathirundaen.....". Wow. A superb recording. Even though I have heard of this song in 1986 so many times, wherever I turned in the city of Madras, I feel like listening as many times as I can after listening to the recorded song after such a long time. Hats off to you, Rex. Thanking you very much for bringing back those memories in my mind by delivering these songs made available to us.

  the year typed in should be 1983, in my previous message. Before these songs, the other movie songs which became so famous were from "Payanangal Mudivathillai".

  The 150th addition to my page is going to be the great great song..."Adhisivan Tholirukum Nagamani.." from the film KADAVUL released in 1998. Even though I am not a Hindu, I really love this song.....particularly, I can feel some sort of extra power.....something like the blood vessels are about to explode kind of feeling when I listen to this song. The tune is like that.... The typical musical instruments used towards the end of this song will make anyone to dance with devotion.
  
  I bet! None of the MDs have ever composed tunes such as this one from Raaja. Maybe Deva can come nearer. That is it.....That is the only reason that I have uploaded the BGM alone so that the fans as well as Raaja critics can together appreciate the musical sense of this great genius... Just see how he is able to deliver the goods even after composing for 100s of movies, that too at this point of time. Gramathila irukara paatali makkalukku ellam intha maathiriyaana music thaan thevai sami....not the congodrums and keyboards stuff.....
  
  He can compose a song like this....he can also compose songs like the ones in Kadhal Kavithai.... Such is the variation he can provide, when compared to some monotonous MDs whose very survival is based on the hype they are creating with the marketing world.

  One more song i like most but dont know what movie is that "kannukkum kannukkum modhal nenjathai nee thandhaal kaadhal ennenna inbam vazha vazhahavae maaalai thendralae maalai kondu vaa" jesudas mohan rubini perform in that.

  I visited the page just a couple of days. I am getting thrilled by the way it is growing. Where do u get these songs?!!! I get it at Rex Arul's site :-) I will keep visiting this site very often to hear the music of the greatest. The recent addition Thalattum Poongatru is one of my all time favourites of SJ.
  
  Some of the additions that I would like to suggest are :
  
  1) Sangathil Padadha Kavidhai Ival Angathil Yaar thandhadhu (Film Auto Raja, earliest films of Vijayakanth, singers IR & SJ). This particular song I have been searching for a long time. I have heard this song a couple of times in Ceylon radio long back. The lyrics (I guess VM) are also superb - "... Sindhith Then Paiginra Idhazhgalai Sindhithen ..." and so on.
  
  2) "Chinnathayaval thandha rasave" from Thalapathy. The music of this song comes as BGM several times. Its just too great!
  
  3) BGM of Mahanadhi, based on the song "Solladha Ragangal Yennenna". And also that song. Other songs like the bengali one are also too good.
  
  4) "Vedham Nee Iniya Naadham Nee", "Sangeethame" from Kovil Pura. First one, too good of KJY.
  
  5) BGM of Aavarampoo. The flute is just too great.
  
  6) BGM of Anjali.
  
  7) "Rojavaith Thalattum Thendral", "Vaa Vaa Vasandhame Sugam tharum Sugandhame" from Ninaivellam Nithya.
  
  8) "Puththam Pudhu Kaalai ponnira velai" from Alaigal Oyvadhillai.
  
  9) "Andha Nilavathan Naan Kaiyila pudichen" from Mudhal Mariyadhai. There is some site having this song. But, the quality is very bad.
  
  10) "Uyire Uyire Urugadhe Kanave Kanave Kalaiyadhe", "Nee Pournami Endrum En Nenjile" both sung by KJY, of the same film. I forgot the name of the film.
  
  11) "Ezhisai Deepame Enakkoru Jeevan Nee" by KJY. I don't know the film.
  
  12) "Thangach Changili Minnum Paiyngili Thaane Konjiyadho" - I guess from Thooral Ninnu Pochu.
  
  13) BGM of Veedu, Marupakkam.
  
  14) "Vaana Mazhai pol pudhu paadalgal", "Aaradi Suvaru thaan aasaiya thadukkuma" - both sung by KJY in the same film. I forgot the name of the film, but it is Karthik, Kushbhu starrer directed by P.Vasu.
  
  15) Could you put the albums "How to Name it?", "Nothing but Wind" and "India 24 hours" on the page? I am sure they will take lot of space.
  
  16) Another song in Saadhanai - "Inge naan kanden kadhai nayagi" is also good. Could u try it?
  
  ........Ooopsss!!! the list goes on!!!!! I know there is no end. Just by sitting and recalling for a few minutes I got remembered all these.
  
  I wish someday this page should become the greatest and comprehensive repository of all the Raja's music, though it is mammoth task. I really would love to see such a page. ALL THE BEST.

  My intention is to keep Raaja fans happy by putting his glorious numbers as high quality files in my page. Whenever I need to work extensively on certain songs to remove the noise, that is where certain audience requests get delayed.
  
  I do not want to disappoint you....So check my site exactly 30 mts from now. You'll have one song out of this big list you have given....

  I have all your requests with me.....Just give me some time....Your choices might be delayed due to one or more of the following reasons:
  1) Non availability
  2) Noisy songs needing extensive work
  3) Server space (As I said...I am right now having 15 songs in queue....encoded and waiting for server space. Songs include those from Mundhanai Mudichu, etc.)
