IR's rule started!AGAIN!

HI guys,
I listened to latest TFM news and also the latest indiadirect.com update of top10 songs.In that Suresh told that IR has comeback again.Indeed i felt that IR's senthooram,DHArma,pnnthottam should be on top3.instead of Deva's stupid song st 2 position.
Anyway I am happy that IR's rule has started again.This calls for celebration.Even ARR is on the down roll.USually his songs lies on first position for long time.This time it has not happend with Jeans.
Thank God.TFM is saved.

  Regarding your comment ab jeans, I dunno which count down you are referring to as most count downs that I know of still seem to have Jeans as the no .1 (I guess itz been quite some time since the movie got released).

  It's the top 10 on Indo Link....Jeans is still Number 1.....Week ending July 3rd 1998.....IR's Dharma is a close 2nd and I must admit it's quite good, only IR sings and spoils some songs and the Iru Kannangal song is repeated tooooo many times....

  If you go into the Indiadirect page, the only information on films is on VIP....very dated....I can't see the countdown and have been unable to hear it, but I don't know how new it is....for example, has it got any songs from Dharma or Sendhooram on it?

  Generally I think as new songs come up it is not wise enough to keep Jeans as the top one.You should satrt appreciating other music.

  Ilaya raja ia the only music director who really works for making songs for films in tamil.his latest numbers like "vaanathu tharakaiyoo" (Hariharan at his masterpiece)from poonthottam ,"Iru kangal pothathu" from dharma ,"aala maram melamarum"(Unni krishnan & bhavatharini) from senthooram,"kanmanikku vazhthu" from annan prove this to us.Almost all his competitors are just trying to pick some catchy music from somewhere and to get fame(e.g)deva in "priyamudan"-gupt & titanic have helped him a lot in making this film's music.
  so in my point of view.Ilayaraja makes music.Others just compose it.
  An additional & personel request to all raja maniacs - I am in hyderabad for the past 10 days & will be here for a minimum of 6 months.so do mail me whenever a new album by our raja is released so that i can contact the music shops in tamil nadu by post & listen some good music.My mail address is

  It is not he lost his style or position.People's taste have changed and ARR was clever enough to make hay while sun shines.

  WHo knows.people might revert back to the old classic IR. Sometimes the old fashion in clothing comes up.Like that people might come back to IR. Example
  kathalukku mariyadhai,dharma,poonthottam(latest craze). Srikanth you didn't answer my Q;Why would everybody compare ARR and IR when there is new thread?

  Hi Balaji,
  Simple, ARR pushed out IR from the top with just two (Chinna and chikubuku) songs. So ARR is considered to be a great musician.
  A poor musician cannot wipe out a great musician who was the king for 1.5 decades, just like that.
  
  Also here!, Raja fans who are not able to digest this growth of ARR..are trying various ways to make sure IR stays close to AR...(eg: this thread! you started, it is a fact AR is still on the top - you guys told movive ratings are utter non-sense some time ago, now you are going back to these ratings.)
  
  This is the reason each thread here ends up in IR vs AR..I feel AR fans here are little defensive and afraid of IR fans.
  I am not!...
  ARR has done many new things to TFM and also to IFM - Indian Film Music. so I am not ready to accept AR has just a copy cat or a lucky lad or techo-cian etc...
  He has stuff- belive in it and hear his score and ejZoy it--- thats what I do!..

  It is ultimately people who decide who is best.
  IR has given only i hit in the last 3/4 years.(Kaathalukku Mariyadhai)That too only 1 song. If IR is great why then his albums do not sell as much as even deva's.
  People prefer ARR. That is a fact.IR has no solid producers queing for him. Remember he was washed out in Hindi. Songs of POONTHOTAM, DHARMA were not even heard/seen on TV Channels.They were a big flop
  IR was sent packing by ARR with his ROJA & IR hasn't recovered as yet.He is simply out of tunewith the public.

  Le tus not about IR's presence or absence in HFM - SAAZe- KALAPANI the Hindi dubbed version of SIRAI CHAALAI was a flop musically.
  Do you mean to say that the quality of music in KAALAPANI was poor, just because it was a flop ?
