YYYY, the song u have mentioned is different. That is "Amuthey Thamize Azahiya Moziye Enathuyire".
I think the song mentioned by Raghuvaran is different. Raghu, is it Rajesh & sulakshana staring movie? I had heard something like that. I think MSV is MD for that song.

in my think SP&PS pairis best one.for example "yengeyo yetho pattondru ketten"which flim is " nathiyai thedi vantha kadal" it is a very good example for SP&PS duets.and also some beautifull songs of sp&ps are follows
1)vazvil sowbakkiyam vanthathu i don't know that movie name (anybody mail me pls)
2)thirutheril varum silaiyo film name is naan vaza vaippen.
3)nathiyoram in annai oor alayam
4)kathodu poo urasa in anbukku naan adimai
and so on
susilamma hava a multi dimentional voice we in this multi dimentional voice in muthuchippi mella mella song in RAMU and azagu oru ragam in PADAKOTTI these are solo songs.
finally my choice is SP & PS.

TMS + PS combination was good because of the trend of melodies during 50's-70's, nothing great abot TMS, who always strained his voice when singing, he is ften ***NASAL***, TMS always singed at high pitched, all his songs, he is not as melodious SPB, TMS is no where near SPB in lower notes, TMS has not got SPB'S deep bass, TMS was not as good SPB in carnatic, although TMS Devotional songs had better appeal than SPB.

PS had a wonderful voice, as sweet as honey, but she was not as versatile SJ, PS voice would not most actress during the late seventies till now, but SJ's voice suited all heroines, PS voice has faded away (I do not know if PS is older than SJ), but SJ's voice has not faded a bit, listen to "Nenjinile nenjinile", "Sekka sekka sivantha ponnu", it is as good as "singara vellane devaa", SJ is older than 60, I hope people take this into consideration, when discussin about her voice.

& in 70's u said her voice didnt suit many heroines
Even that is a Great joke
During Late 70's & early 80's when SJ was gettin Chances PS dominated Telegu Industry too..
All heroines who acted in Telegu Acted in Tamil
Sridevi,suhasini,Radhika,Radha etc
For all of them PS rendered Voices

Even the Great SippikulMuthu/SwathiMutyam For A lullaby IR called PS and not SJ who sang all other songs in that movie
ie Laali Laali song

and Even Chinnathayaval from Dalpathi in Telegu PS sang which was more than Sj's

& in age Ps is Elder to SJ..

Malare mounamma is simply superb, it's like SPB & SJ are competing amongst each other to win the audience, but SPB wins as usual with the dragging bit "malareeeeeeeee ", with his deep voice, but SJ has also done a wondeful job.

SPB & PS duets-il iLamai thuLLal irundhadhu thanks to their voices. But, SPB-SJ combo was the one that really took off since there was more novelty in their songs because of IR, more freedom for the singers to express themselves casually and genuinely, and SJ's voice was in its heavenly prime...so my vote goes to SPB-SJ combo!

I'm not a technical listeners like most of the people in this forum...I'm a mere layman listener

In that context, SJ's voice, singing versality, the way she beautify the song and evergreen suitability of her voice to any generation "sarukkus" in TFM and in my life personally.

With due respects to PS, her singing talent isn't any great. She sings like anyother lady on the street. She never sing for the situation, but for MD's tunes only.

Have ever heard anyone saying an amatuer's voice sounds like SJ...many times you'd have heard that for PS. Taht's where SJ differs

This is personal opinion...any PS fans don't comment on my personal opinion. I had only answered Ragu's Q

Have U really heard any songs?(infact what SJ sings are not songs but mimicry, she can shout at the top of her voice in singaravelane Deva and other stupid hummings and mukkal monagal My God I think Mr Villian what type of sleep he has and how he lives and ofcourse how he dies.
I am sorry but it is my opinion
I think no one can ever beat Suseela in terms of voice, melody .
Sippi erukkudhu etc reflect the brilliant nature of the lyricist rather than the voice.
