kabali kovil preadosham is too crowded nowadays!
I hate the fact that some people remember god only during pradosham and they never go to temple on other days and just flood the temple that temple.
Also if anyone is interested the youth ramana maharishi goshti sings bhajans in the annamalaiyar sannadhi at 8:30 pm every day. Everyone is student/office goer in that group. Nice fun. Ofcourse lots go to kabali kovil when they actually visit karpagambal mess.
also guys ther is a Thatha who has a modest eatery behind that leo cofee place in mada street(also behing vasantha bhavan).
Poor thatha... serves modest good cheap food... I always want to make a point to visit him!
Non commercial and run by a very modest common man. C~P u shud try it. Give a break to these money machine bhavans

Ennaku 20 Unnaku 18 complete
M Rathinam’s son Jothikrishna’s directorial venture Ennaku 20 Unnaku 18 is finally complete. Though earlier peeved over the criticism from certain quarters that his earlier film Boys was vulgar and obscene, Rathinam now prefers to promote his son’s forthcoming film. Launched two years ago, the director claimed that the film was canned in 165 shooting days only.
“This is a bilingual (being made in Tamil and Telugu) with three busy artistes. Shooting with Trisha in the Tamil version and Shriya in Telugu along with teen sensation Tarun who stars in both the films was a daunting task. The shooting will definitely take more time as it is being shot simultaneously in two languages. Also I wanted my first film to be very different. We shot the songs in Italy, Rome, Venice and Switzerland. In Venice, we could shoot early in the morning for only two hours as the island attracts ten lakh tourists every day” explained Jothikrishna.
The young director, speaking about his debut film added, “I am strongly influenced by directors like Sridhar, Fazil and Shankar. My film has the touches of these directors. To tell you frankly, Shankar has greatly inspired me. His Indian had a serious subject, of a father killing his own son. But the way the director added the commercial trappings to reach out to the masses that he managed to even get it accepted in all languages including Hindi. My film too will reach out in a big way to all sections of the audience”.
For the first time, lyricist Paa Vijay has penned all the songs for AR Rahman. Impressed with Vijay’s song from another film, Rahman invited him to write the songs for Ennaku 20 Unnaku 18. Till date, national award-winner Vairamuthu was the only lyricist to write lyrics for an entire film.
Also starring Vivek, Manivannan, Sundarajan, Riaz Khan, Devadarshini, Kalai Rani, Archana Puran Singh, Vaiyapuri, Janaki, Swarna and Babloo, the film has cinematography by R Ganesh and art direction by Thota Tharani. It is produced by Sri Surya Movies.

have a good time and let me know what happens in your meet. I dont live in singara chennai currently. Actually quite a few miles away from it. So no chance of making it. :-)
and yes , if you discover some exotic food in our mylapore do let me know.
C~P, what happened to that bachelor's fast food stall opposite to Vijaya stores? It was a small samosa-cutlet stall run by unemployed bachelors.
If they are still running it, I would like to join them too. Since I am unemployed too and dont think I will get a job....

Yeah they had it opp to Vijaya stores. After the market was brought down, they still had it infront of that thangavel nadar store. It is just a stall on the platform or something. evening time is the only time they are open. All are unemployed bachelors.

The Sangeethas you folks mentioned, is it the one opp to one Photo/Clock house in Nungambakkam? I went to that last Feb, saaptu velila vandhu road cross panradhu kulla totally skin-drenched in the typical chennai sun.
- From: V (@ 24.59.74.246)
on: Mon Oct 20 17:29:22 EDT 2003
There is a sangeetha next to nungambakkam NIIT. Oddly they serve only with disposable cutlery and is a self-service restaurant. I dont know if you are talking about that.
There is also a sangeetha restaraunt (Apoorva Sangeetha) in the junction of nungambakkam high road and that road that goes to Kilpauk
from modest beginnings in Mylapore tank they now are established all over Madras.

V, the one I went to was self-service type. I dont know the road names but the chairs were so high that you felt like you were driving a tractor! But the food was superb.
Music --> Food ----> Bhakti --> Entrepreneuring Thathas...Hindu Sunday Edition maari irukku! :)
