AR Rahman's Tamil Blockbuster "BOYS"

Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Here is what i found::

Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.

Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.

In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.

Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.

For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

  i want to say something about coping --it is high praise indeed to those MDs whom ARR supposedly copied from!!   ok..guys lets cut this crap ya...we here squbble against each other critisizing each others comments..and ARR..but just remember that 50 to 65% of the music composed is inlfuenced by the directors also..so dont tell me Shankar..had no influence!!!!!and the songs are drived according to the situation in the movie....so lets wait till the movie hits the cinemas ya....

  and to all the folks who say...songs like "dating" has no proper tamil pronouncations...well..pundits..u aint listening to "palum palamum" kay...

ARR definitely din't copy from SEL for the starting of Secret of Sucess From Boys The Movie...i have both the songs..I duon't deny that the song from DCH is superb song..thats doesnt give u the right 2 say that ARR copied the song.maybe the kb sounds were the same but the rythm n tune r not the same.Believe me cause i played both the songs at the same time using 2 players..Something must be wrong with u if u say this soongs were similar.TRy 2 enjoy the song as a whole than looking at the nitty gritty..IF u really dont have anything better 2 do then go n check DEVA's songs..u just have 2 listen once 2 know who he had copied..We have already suffedred without ARR 4 the past 2 years.Now when he's back n 2 stay u people have nothing better 2 do then critizing him.Give the man a break!!!I m not saying that I hate other composers r not good.YSR,VS,MS,HJ n BW have filled the void left by ARR 4 the pass 2 years but ARR is definitely on a diferent plane.So let us all support our man, kay..

  Have u guys noticed the usage of guitars in BOYS... the riff in GIRLFRIEND and base guitars in ALE ALE... and he also used it effectively in SECRET OF SUCCESS.... maybe ARR is into Rock music and stuff..... hats off to this genius....

  The very first song “Girl friend..” sung by Karthik will surely become the rage

  modern. And the other song which will definitely become the top song on
  chartbusters is “Maro..Maro..break the rules..”.
  
  The song, sung by Karthik, Kunal and Anupama, is about the youth who want to
  rebel against the society and lead life without any rules. The song has been
  picturised very well too. 500 dancers were participated in this song.
  
  Pop singer Adnanan Sami debuts in the film. His song with Sadhana Sargam is
  highly melodious. A must buy album. It will definitely mark the second coming
