  naan ennikkavathu BABA thread-la post pannaama iruppaena?? ..... u wud have missed my postings amidst copy-pasters postings!! :) .... i know u wudnt have the patience to click old responses 15-20 times to crosscheck if i posted on every single day! ;)

  Hi! Rajinifan!
  
  Rajini and IR are good friends in this personal as well as spiritual life. IR has said that in one of the recent interviews. They two share mutual respect.
  
  IR refused to work for Rajini's movie could be because of VM, but definitely not because of lack of respect for Rajini.
  
  We all guess only in one direction, that IR turned down Rajini in a harsh way. That in actual considering his maturity in spiritualism, definitely IR did it very politiely explanining suitable reasons to Rajini. That's why Rajini did not come out badly about that incident.
  
  This being the case why should we spread venom against IR? Remember, till date they both had maximum successes together.

  I guess Rajini won't be agitated. Manorama was calling Rajini names in a public meeting in the campaign for jayalalitha. Rajini gave Manorama chance in his next movie Arunachalam i guess.
  He can take things in stride. Moreover Illayaraja and Rajini never had any personal problems between them. If you rank the fights in tamil movies. First rank goes to
  
  1) IR-VM fight
  2) IR-BR fight
  3) IR-MR fight
  4) IR-BC fight
  5) RK-Manorama fight
  6) Sarath Kumar-Rajini fight (Short period)
  .....
  
  Most recent is ARR-VM fight.

  Genius.. Rajinidotcom is a typical example of HCRajini fan. My gut feeling says it is going to be a failure as the story seems to be weird.
  Rajini is way behind Kamal, MGR and Sivaji in choosing the story.

  Rajini is living a life of a prisoner in the hands of his fans. Last decent character role by Rajini was way back in 80s. Kai Kodukkum Kai.
  Mappillai, Darmadorai Dalapathi, Mannan, Veera, Ejaman took him from superstar status to supergod status. Basha, Arunachalam, Muthu, Padaiyappa now Baba had stereotypical stories. In Basha Rajini was impressive in the first half. Second half he was back to usual. Fans simply don't let him choose his roles. They choose roles for him.
  Just see Anbulla Rajinikanth. It was just a cameo. But was memorable. I am disappointed with Rajini for being kind of slave to his fans

  True. But these are the people who feed him too, by buying cassettes without even getting to hear a sample of the songs. So he probably has no choice in the matter, as he has already reaped his rewards.

  Yes. Rajini is doing it as a business. He has decided to stoop down to any level if it makes him few extra bucks. For someone who claims to live a detached life, these things should not have been primary things. Atleast he should be bold enough to admit "I am selfish. I will do anything for money". This double game of Rajini will only lower the image of him. Mixing politics in his movies won't serve any good. If it is a tactic to draw crowd it is fine. If it is a tactic to threaten Jayalalitha he is sadly mistaken. Listen to the drama Periyappa. S.V.Sekhar has ridiculed Rajini a lot about uncertainty of Rajini's political entry. A very talented actor Rajini was destroyed clinically by his fans and producers. Even though Rajini benefitted a lot, he will not go down in the history as a great actor. For me he looks like just another actor, Vijayakanth, Sarathkumar who try to project their image in a big way.

  I don't agree with you that Baba Music "urupudama pochu...". They are really wonderful. Hats off to AR Rahman.
  
  Rajini said that Arunachalam is a failure even though it ran 200 days in Chennai and 50 days in 55 theaters. This is really hit and then why did he said that? May be "Thanadakum"?
  
  If Baba is hit, we will be happy. If it is a flop, we will be even more happy as he will act another few movies. It is not all in our hands, it is god's grace. Let's hope the best.

  Rajinidotcom, DO NOT bother about the likes of Unmai. Please continue your good work and build up. We would rather hear pleasant things than the nasties from Unmai & his likes who are nothing but vayatherichals. I would like to say something to these breed of people, but it is too unparliamentary.

  The truth is that if one compares padyappa and BABA songs ,BABA lacks the songs of the type "SInga nadai pootu " and "vetri kodi " ..But MAYA MAYA is simply superb .Lycrics down the drain .Very average .....DOWN DOWn vali ..

  Superstar Rajinikanth is set to retire after Baba if the movie turns out to be megahit. When he adressed the Press in the "Baba Audio function" he said - "After completing Muthu, I decieded to retire from movies. But generally people remember your last movie before you retire the most. So I thought I would retire after Arunachalam. But the movies wasnt as big a hit as I expected it to be. So then I thought I will act in another movie, and if its a hit that will be my last one. Then came Padayappa (Narasimha in Telugu) and I decieded to retire. I went to Lahir Baba's ashram to take rest after that. There the Baba himself said that - 'How many ever events we organise our messages do not reach the masses, if you can make a movie sending a message it would be excellent'. but I replied that a movie is a business and many people's life depends on it. And moreover people come to the theatres for entertainment, and I dont wish to disappoint them. It takes crores to churn out a big movie.But then my guruji persisted that I should do one with a social message and the regular commercial message. I thought over for 4 months and decieded that I would do Baba. If this is a hit, this would be my last... Or else I would do another movie to deliver a hit. Please dont expect it to become a flop as you may think, if Baba is a flop Rajini will get to another movie.(laughs). It has the regular masala items and a social message it it. Hope you would enjoy seeing the movie as much as I enjoyed making it."
  
  In the function Baba Rajini Kanth revealed that - movies were just a part of his life and not his life as whole. So he decieded to retire at this age. And he clearly mentioned that he is not interested in joining politics as of today and said that in the future too his not likely to join unless very neccasary. He left it there without commenting on the political situation in Tamil Nadu. The event will be broadcasted in Gemini TV, Eenadu and Maa TV very soon (relay). New entries to the media field like - MAK Telugu and Sibar Media were also present there to cover the event. The meet was attended by Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, D.V.S Raju, B.V Reddy, Murali Moham, Aswini Dutt, Allu Arvind and other prominent film personalities.
