  TMS is one singer (singing for Sivaji).
  Who is the other singer (singing for MR Raadha) ?

  This is to reconfirm that it was Sivaji who utters the words followed by CSJ singing the verses. This song is from the movie Raaja Raaja Cholan - and marks the very first Tamil film in cinemascope. Another nice song in the movie is one on the horoscope. Mini quiz : What is the title of the song and who are the singers.   Vanna Thamizh Penn oruthi is from Paavai ViLakku, the movie adaptation of author Ahilan, starring Sivaji, Sowcar Janaki, Pandaribai, Kumari Kamala and one more heroine I forgot (M.N.Rajam?).

  Oops, I stand corrected. Which brings back the question: who is the speaker in Vanna Thamizh pennoruthi? It can't be Sivaji as the RR Cholan song was his first.

  vaNNa thamiz peN is from the film Paavai vilakku.Kanchana is right-movie adaptation of Akilan's novel.The other heroine is M.N.Rajam.
  It's Sivaji who utters the words in the beginning.He is a poet and he recites those lines.This song is with Kumari Kamala in the movie.Humming part is by LRE.The singer is CSJ.
  NOV referred to R.R.chozan song.T.R.Mahalingam is the singer.I mentioned about that song only.Not Paavai vilakku.

  Satya and Ravi - Are you sure about Sivaji uttering the word in Vanna thamizh pennoruthi? I am quite certain that Thendraloadu is his first song, unless Paavai Vilakku came out after RR Cholan.

  From the voice in 'vaNNa thamizh..' it sounds like Sivaji. Anyway he does not 'sing' the song, he just utters the first few lines while CSJ sings it. After the first few lines CSJ takes over for the rest of the song.
