doesn't actually sound like a usual qawalli.. has a lot of hindustani tinges with the swaras used.. and awesome chords.. when it goes nisasasa...nisasasa......... then the actually pallavi...cudn't get the words rite.. but phenomenal.. is wat rahman can do.. so many new sounds,experiments,combination of a motley of genres..

BR has made 4 thrillers already. sikkappu rojakkal, tik tik tik, oru kaithiyin dairy and captain magal. of these except captain magal others films r composed by IR. now that u ve come to know this how r u going to make a comparison.will u able to do that WRT to bgsm or songs. no way ARR can reach the heights wat IR had reached. it may be good but not to be compared with IR, ok.

uve always said that its onyl IR fans, particularly ambleen entering into ARR threads to create havoc. when this thread is going smooth why do u pull IR in it and if my freinds r going to join in to defend my stand this thread is going to lose its basic purpose of hailing ARR. so keep ur mouth shut and enjoy the music watever way u want to.

WRT the topic i liked the BGm part more than the tunes which r very normal.

Sad to say Mr.Sharad, but if you think the bgm in the trailer of KANGAL KEITHEI SEI sound's Hollywoodian and fantastic, you are in for a big disappointment. The music they used in the trailer belong to Lord Of The Ring and other Hollywood scores.

I think Rajasaranam is right in his post.

There is no use comparing two MDs. It is a waste of an effort.

You also have to consider that IR fans are extremely sensitive and they do not want IR to ever be compared with any other musician in the world. They are very strong in their loyalty and it is kind of like you can be an IR fan only if you worship IR's music and it is a sin if u listen to anyone else.

It might seem a little weird and whacky for us but it is true that their bhakti towards IR is unimaginable.

But you consciously cannot determine constructively the difference, and hence have to tuck under these kind of statements.
What RS gave was facts and the real truth, you ARR fans cannot digest it ( I like ARR too, though being a little gr8er fan of IR, coz i grew with His Music), All ARR fans here seem to do only one thing, just say every album is a super duper hit, sales are sky rocketing, this and that of all marketing BS.

WE (ARR fans - almost)...never condemned IR or his ability...he have proven it....4500 times ...no doubt...

but when IR was ard the marketing strategy was different, the crowd puller magnet was diff, the expectation was diff...and now..it all changed...and we(or may be ME)....wanted to see how ARR-BR will fare this time....i clearly said..it is not to degrade IR at any point of time...
and regarding..Sales are sky rocketing...i guess we say that abt BOYS...not Parasuram rite?....so..there are some facts...which u can't digest ..that's all...

Actually I personally dont care about Sales, as far as music is concerned, all I see is if I like it, my tastes are totally different from others.

This is the difference in my opinion:
1. Common liking
2. Personal liking
3. Technicality
4. Depth
5. Creativity

We should stick to some of these kinds of comparison rather than saying Quantity=Quality logic. In one of my previous post, i did recommend doing a little smart statistics rather than raw-data which is baseless and useless. We do digest the facts, we cannot just digest the baseless facts.

I was hoping this discussion will go regarding constructive comparisons, but it just became who is gr8er than who... which is lame and totally immature.

You could very well see why i dont post messages unnecessarily..

I would still like to say: I like ARR in the gr8 pavithra song (Uyirum neeye (what amazing lyrics by VM), AP's : Maangalyam, Boyz: Dating, but have not found any mesmerizing BGM that sticks to my mind.. may be it is Me. I am not surely ANTAGONOSTIC TO ANYBODY.
