ya ya...YSR better remove the "Manasa Rendum Parka" songs if dubbing the original songs from the Tamil version..Bollywood people will spit on YSR...
For people who donno why i say that, that song is a direct lift from one of Anggun (Indonesia artist)song........

BeN clown!
It is not a direct lift by any classification. It was a clear inspiration with ample modification and variations to justify the situation. The interludes and charanams are clealy original.

Nenjodu Kalandhidu [Film: Kaadhal Konden (2003)]
Composer: Yuvan Shankar Raja
Inspired by the prelude of The Corrs number, 'Runaway'.

[i2fs] comments: It was rather startling to see Yuvan creating a song solely out of the prelude to the Corrs' number...the basic tune of both the songs are actually different. But yes, Yuvan has tried his hand at a Irish-styled track and perhaps should not have relied on one of the most popular Irish bands around, for inspiration - a rather easy giveaway of the source! The inspiration is very similar to R D Burman using the prelude of Procol Harem's 'A whiter shade of pale' for his 'Manzil' number, 'Tum ho meri dil ki dhadkan'. However, while Pancham created a masterpiece with the limited inspiration, the quality of Yuvan's output is debatable!

[i2fs] comments: I came across this information in newtfmpage and was rather surprised over two things - first, this is the second lift of YSR in the same movie that I had included a couple of weeks back and second, the amount of lift in this track. Blatant and in such a way that it puts a huge question mark over an upcoming (some may argue that Yuvan has crossed that stage with his so-called recent hits...that's besides the point, though) composer's creativity. Trivia note on Anggun: Anggun (born Anggun Cipta Sasmi) is one of Indonesia's most popular musical performers. Now settled in Paris, Anggun's debut English album, 'Snow on the Sahara' with songwriter/ producer Erick Benzi, blend diverse sounds...traditional and con temporary, Indonesian and Euro-American. Benzi has, in the past worked with celebrities like Celine Dion, Algerian rai singer Cheb Khaled, and French pop legends Johnny Hallyday and Jean-Jacques Goldman. Snow On The Sahara recalls the best of Annie Lennox in the rich instrumental textures and soaring vocals of its first single, the title song; and such choice cuts as "Over Their Walls," "A Rose In The Wind," and "Valparaiso." Anggun contributed lyrics to "On The Breath Of An Angel" and to the Indonesian-language song "Selamanya." The album closes with one of its most memorable tracks, her interpretation of the David Bowie classic, "Life On Mars."

Nattamai...u ppl really have nothing to do i guess...
for year i have been hearing ppl saying "ARR copies english songs...western music or whatsoever"...
but I am curios..why he is given chance by Sir ALW, and the BD is going to US?....if they know he is copying...why bother to notice him after all?...
why didn't recognise..ur super original IR & Co..?

YSR will definitely succeed in Hindi because i don't think his songs are south Indian type and I think Tamil films can take a major break from him. That is why Karhtik and IR were not good for that market.
Good luck Sir.

It is funny to see a post that says "Bollywood people will spit on YSR..." for copying a song.
Are you talking about the same Bollywood that has the likes of Nadeem Shravan, Annu Malik, sanjeev darshan etc., composing a lot of their movies.

I also think You people have nothing to do either. You just copy the stuff from i2fs and post it here. This shows the hatred you have against anti-arr camp.
"but I am curios..why he is given chance by Sir ALW, and the BD is going to US?....if they know he is copying...why bother to notice him after all?...

If ALW gives chance to arr, does that mean all the copied/inspried songs of his are originals? ALW is just like any other producer who wants to cash in some money. And FYI, he didn't invite arr just by listening to his music. arr was invited through shekar kapur with proper introduction. without shekar, i don't think he would have gotten that opp. Yes, IR & co does not have that kind of PR group. But I believe YSR will surpass arr's achievements.

well Nattamai..
ALW does have a better sense of music that of u fools out there...
if IR was given the chance, maybe he may have done SOME justice..but ARR has proved that he's able to compose Broadway style music..
Just listen to "Like An Eagle" song from Bombay Dreams..
WOW! what a lively song...a briiliant fusion of Broadway with Bollywood style in it...
Also for your info,
Based the interview with ALW, he was impressed with ARR's brilliant music in DilSe/Uyire..
That is the main reason he signed ARR for this ambitious project, he didn't just simply choose ARR because of Shekar Kapoor..
ARR talent and luck has already brought him to fame.
Just accept the fact & be proud that an Indian has achieved so much, than simply badmouthing him for no reason...

BeN:
Shekar was the brain behind the whole project. Ofcourse, ALW was impressed with arr's work. But you need someone to put things together to get anything started. the same applies for his vante matharam album too. Bharath bala was behind the scene, he took care of its marketing strategies. These two projects came out because of these people's effort too. But I don't think IR has got the same comfort to push him forward with such attempts. Somehow I believe Yuvan will succeed in this area and get more recognition for his work.

YEaaaa...Nattamai...
in other words u can say Shekar Kapoor...himself is not proud in introducing IR to anyone...
u r talking like as though ALW agreed the moment SK mentioned ARR's name.
"Just get anybody SK, I don't mind..."
yeaa rite

"ALW does have a better sense of music that of u fools out there..."
BeN, I may not have that much sense of music. But do you think it is correct to call arr as "mozart of the east"? Did he really mean it? has he made that statement even after he listened to mozart's compositions? That raises a lot of questions. Forget about him, do you think arr has reached that level? Has ALW made fool out of himself by making that statement or he is just a shrewd businessman?
