Astro's 3rd Vaanavil Talent Quest - what a dissapoinment !!

i just watch d show life on Astro yesterday.. i'm totally dissapointed with the judges.. wat is Deva up to?? first he choose the best among 4 finalists..which i though is THE final decision.. but i was shock that the singer Anuradha, who Deva chooses at 4th place..WON the first price, after the second judgement by the other judges.. she's not that good compared to the other 3 contestant...what do u ppl say?????

  the judgement sucks..what an insult to Deva..
  Anuradha's singing is full of shit..so flat ..pls listen to the original song..u'll know what i mean. Even the other judges and Anuradha Shriram don't approve,,can see from their faces..as for Deva, i really pity him..at one point, Astro told him, it's all up to him..and then, they said, they have to include sms votes as well as all the other judges votes. what a sheer nonsense..
  one thing for sure, this year's event not as lively as last year where you u can see the `real' excitement after Alinda won the crown.
  A total disappointment! Worst ever..ASTRO sucks!!

  Yes I do agree, anuradha can't even sing with correct sruthi & damm!!!she got first place !!!Totally unbelievable and unacceptable same goes to shamini. Mathan or Kavitha they deserve at the first place. It was full with corruption & politics that night.There were those who does not have the potential to be a Judge is sitting there . Those who realy don't know abt sruthi & thalam are sitting there as a Judge. Even Anuradha Sriram & Deva is not happy with the result, that is because of the other judges. Hope Vanavil will Observe "SABTHA SWARANGGAL" before the next VTQ. Hope vanavil able take contructive feedback frm public....Mmmmm no one can do anything now ...its too late!!!One more thing "THE PUBLIC NOT LIKE THOSE DAYS !! NOW THEY HAVE BETTER KNOWLEDGE IN SANGEETHAM !!!! so don;t do crab job again....

  i to agree its was an unfavarouble result.. jegathesan sang very well and he scored highest at the singing point..he really made a huge impact! its very obvious there was a big mistake in the marking system..and something went wrong somewhere.. they should have not follwed that particular making system at the finals... but should have done it more professionaly..thumbs down!! what a disgrace.. the ones that worked hard with lots of effort did not again ANYTHING!!! Its about time somebody does somethin about this!!! what a hard break after waiting so long for this finals... VTQ 2003 My choice!!

  i find there was politics in the judgement, Astro insulted Mr Deva, The show sarted was so good but ended really bad pls don't organize a show which already defive whi is the winner and there was no excited at the end IT WAS A BAD SHOW

  The guy who played the keyboards and sang his own on guitar should've been one of the 4 peoples.
  
  I felt sorry for Mathan after Astro played the fool by mixing up the backing tracks for his performance.
  
  Why was there 2 Velumani Chitti sketches? Astro should have confirmed that the performances are unique!!! Just imagine if 2 people had sung the same song.
  
  Broadcast stopped for almost 30 minutes. Very poor coordination.
  
  Deva made a choice and Astro reversed it. Very embrassing for Deva!!! He's the head judge.
  Kavitha was shocked to find out she's not the winner.
  
  Anurada does not deserve to be one of the winners at all. In fact, she should not have made it to the finals at all.
  
  My top 4, in no particular order:

  Jegathisan.N
  Kavitha.S
  Shamini
  
  My choice for winner is Saravanakumar. Mathan was good but he sang the song from Minsara Kanavu exactly like SP Bala did in the original and his sketch is not original. Kavitha should not have had help from another person during her sketch. It's a one person performance.

  Hi, Guys...I don't know why every one says SaravanaKumar suppose to be the winner. Those who know Music won't choose him as a winner. Just becoz he can play guitar,Keyboard & compose song he is good !!!...Guys if u listen to the Original song sang by KJ Yesudass u wont say that. He even can't go on high pitch at all.Maybe the song that he sang can be others...no body knows !!! & Do u know that the song that Mathan sang such a tough song he realy can go that high, the orri song as such & Jegathisan did very well for the Raile Raile song without any problem. He is realy great & all the best for him. Keep up the good Job Jega !!! For those who are tryed thier level best don't be disapointed ...what to do our judges are such !!!!

  Mike,
  You're forgetting that this is TALENT CONTEST. A person can sing better than others but that person needs to be able to do other things as well.
  
  Even though Saravanakumar couldn't go high picth, he's very talented and would be able to do very well for himself in the music industry.
  
  The people are not supposed to mimic the way the original singers have done them. Do it in your style... exactly what Anuradha Sriram told us.

  thats mean malaysia vasuden brothers doughter,
  nobody know this, i know because my friend work in astro,
  so, the judges from malaysia knows her very well,
  maybe from india also,
  thats why this stupid judgement happen.

  The live broadcast was stopped for 30 minutes because the police wanted to check whether the guests from India have proper travel documents. It seems the police was tipped of by TV3!!!

  I think Deva was not supposed to tell in public his ranking of the singers. Harris Jeyaraj and Bharadwaj didn't do that. Maybe Deva misunderstood the instructions but it gave us the oppurtunity to see that the results for the 2003 contest is fixed. A music director of Deva's experience had already chosen Kavitha as the winner. What is the point of including SMS votes? Vanavil wants to do a PopStar type of contest. But in PopStar, the final contest is determined 100% percent by public votes - NO JUDGES!!! The 7 judges were puppets.

  Very very sad this year's PTP coz Deva's rejected choice was announced as the first prize winner. All the audience was shout for Madhan.That should follow the prosedure. The winner from all SMS and local judge must go for the final round with Deva & Deva should pick up the winners. I also think they should tell the viewers how the points are calculated. The sad thing is the best not been selected... Anurada Sriram also sad coz the winners are lost from the list. I think Kavita should be the winner. This year's PTP is really insulating Deva as chief judge. Anurada 's points were low in begining, only 6.598 at 7th place. I THINK DEVA'S FANS MUST BE ANGRY NOWWW. I hope if Vannil wants to do a contest like this again, must think many times.....and give good results

  I hope the real winners of the contest enjoy success in the future undertakings. They don't have to worry because they have the talent, they just need some push in the right direction.
