  did you do the security update to your OS by anychance
  2. Clean up your internet temporary folder
  rt click on IE icon.. properties..
  or if your browser is open then use tools->internet options
  go to General Tab
  Delete files->check the offline content option
  and Delete cookies also.
  close your browser and then restart.
  
  I guess if you use Yahoo IM and IE, Yahoo polls for the cookie to get new messages, could be the reason for the hang up.
  
  I would advise you to go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and check for updates to your Windows 98 machine. there was a RPC bug recently discovered in NT, may be some security patches need to be applied.

  thnx....i had actually got it fixed up earlier as i mentioned in the mail....i had to install Win98 again and it was ok.....dunno what happened though....i installed a game and uninstalled it...mayb dat was the problem...

  see as i said semma mazhai ... more rains likely after a few days ... so what place are we going to decide upon? ... Woodland's drive-in seems to be the only way out ... we can't be 100% sure if we go to the beach or something

  Only three days left for the meeting. Lets have a final decision on the place and other stuffs.Woodlands drive-in or beach?Whoz bringing vehicles?What time can we meet?Anyone planning for a dinner that day?Till what time can you stay?
  
  Place: Any beach(hopefully it doesnt rain that day). If it rains then woodlands drive-in.
  Time: 3:30 pm and i can stay till midnight.
  I dont have a vehicle.
  Above is just my preference. Anytime and place is ok for me.
  Suresh,Saravanan,Prabhu,C~P,curses,rajasaranam,Ravi and Myself. Have i missed anyone? Please let us know if u wish to attend. More members more fun !!

  Woodlands Drive-In. 3pm onwards, Saturday 25th. Fixed. No change.
  
  Was out of town few days. Saravanan, Raj and me had another marathadi meeting there few days ago to inspect the facilities :-) Everything looks just fine, perfect weather to be outdoors as well.
