  Can anybody answer these questions ?
  
  
• How many movies has MSV (solo and with TKR) scored music for ?
  
• What was MSV's last solo movie as a MD ?
  
• Is there any non-IR song with the word raasa in it ? Specifically ARR song ?

  pg: Does Raja qualify or does it have to be raasaa.
  Any I feel that it is not all that rare.. since the lyricist nowadays use raasaa as a 'tamizh' word for raaja. :)
  One eg. raasa iLaya raasa from sOlayamma, MD dEvA.
  You should probably look at the percentage of raasaa songs with IR's music and without to prove sycophancy.

  Ravi has got it right : it is my theory that the word 'raasa' has been userped by IR sycophants. 'Raaja' may qualify depending on the context. For example 'Raaja kaiye vacha adhu raanga ponadhillai' qualifies but the old 'Raaja magaL roja malar' (Vanji Kottai Valiban) does not.
  
  I read somwhere that MSV has scored music for more that 700 films and I was really surprised. That's why I wanted to clarify that with MSV devotees on this page.
  
  MSV's last solo movie as MD : I remember a movie called Janani directed by a MGR sycophant called Nethaji. This movie had some good songs not in the old MSV style. MSV tried to change his natural style in this movie. This movie probably came in 1985-88 period.

  PG MSV did music for lot more movies after Janani.
  Janani was released in mid 80s(somewhere in 1983-85). REcently He did music for a mythological film about lord Muruga(saravanabhava or something ).That should be his latest film

  for which MSV/TKR scored music. The total number
  of movies comes to 84.

  We have started making a full list of MSV movies.
  It will take a while to complete this task. Our
  guess is that, till 1980, the total number is
  between 250-300 (note: we are counting only

  serial was catchy. But their music for Engirundho
  Vandhaan was not great.

  Hey guys! Are you sure about your figures? I remember when IR scored his 100th movie, Moodu Pani, and people were praising him for achieving so much is a short while - some reports were made on MSV having passed the 1000 mark - then!!!!!
