Parathale Parvasam - but no SPB

What a disappointment!
After the excellently sung songs of Duet I was expecting the collaboration of Rahman and SPbala in this album....but it was not to be!!!!
I feel Rahman is deliberately excluding SP bala from his projects to avoid sharing the success with him!

  PP songs are load of crap, compared to Nandha, "Mun paniya Mudhal mazhaiya", is superb by SPB, voice modulation is exceptional, perhaps ARR should have used SPB to lift the spirits of PP songs, being an ARR,IR&SPB fan, I have to say, I am very disappointed by ARR's performance in PP, I am sure this is his worst album ever, hopefuly Ali arjuna would be good, BTW, SPB is in Ali Arjuna.

  though I am a great fan of IR & SPB.
  I am disappointed to note that both in 'Azhagi' and 'KASI' SPB does not find a place.
  
  Why should we point at ARR alone ?( example PP)
  
  Infact by giving all the 6 songs in 'KASI' to nasal HH, IR has certainly put his fan like me in shame.

  kasi is a remake of malayalam film. therefore all the six songs have gone to hariharan. spb never did any good songs in malayalam and that is reflected in the remake. ir of late, has started singing more profusely than before. there is no big deal in it as you dont have any standards in tfm at present.

  this is really a strange turn of the events i must say...
  the topic started with ARR giving no chance to SPB...and now, as IR did the same in kashi (and that too by giving all songs to so called 'nasal' hariharan, whom, as i read in so many SPB-favouring threads, so many SPB fans 'hate')...the response is rather few...but still there...so dear SPB fans...i don't want to sound sarcastic or be gloating...but now u see ARR is not the only one 'ignoring' SPB at the moment....also ur and our great IR is doing this...wonder why there is no thread with 'kashi & azhagi - but no SPB'...
  perhaps it will come soon...

  p.s.: folks, don't misunderstand me, but after reading this thing about IR not using SPB, and after this long thread now, where so many people bashed ARR for not using SPB, i found it kind of pleasing...now not at all meant as any comparision or war or whatever...don't start anything like that now!!! please!!!

  What's your point now? We all know you're in your elementary schooling period as far as TFM is concerned. You will obviously not have a clue about the rich legacies that IR and SPB will leave behind in Tamil filmlore. Just don't reduce everything you see about IR in black & white and try to score cheap brownie points in favour of your idol.

  Digression:
  PP being KB's 100th film, Kamal was to do a guest appearance in it. None of the DFers mentioned about Kamal's role in any of the threads. Any info on that? In the first place, did he have a role in PP!?

  i'll tell u what my point was in the message above:
  did i insult IR in any way??? NO...i respect IR thru every bone in my body...and this eventhough i know so less about him and his music (as u told i'm in the elementary school concerning this)...i'm proud of IR being an indian, and that this indian composer is one of the greatest musicians of all time...so why the hell does everyone think i'm trying to insult or whatever IR??? really, i don't get u people quite in that point...
  so the content of my message above was: as i already wrote...everyone bashed ARR thruout the whole damn thread that he was not using their great legend singer SPB and made don't know what kind of weird theories about that (and most of them ínsulting ARR -> just look at the message with which this thread has started!)
  and now, suddenly IR comes with 2 new albums, and in both SPB is excluded. but about that, noone is talking...everyone is just interested in bashing ARR...no one says "IR deliberately excluding SP bala from his projects to avoid sharing the success with him!" or any of such utter noncense theories, which they say about ARR...why? let me just ask u why this doesn't happen?!
  
  so dear suresh, i don't know why u became so angry about my simple sarcastic message from above..as i wrote in p.s., it was not intended to hurt anyone or whatever...but only this strange behaviour of people bashing ARR for his doing, but leaving the other composers alone when they do the same thing, which i came to notice.

  u r right man, IR was unfair to SPB during the early 90's, he gave many songs to "Mano, the cheap Imitator, of the legend SPB", these songs should have naturaly gone to SPB, I agree with you every one seems to be picking on ARR, but IR has also done so much unjustice to many of his great tunes by giving it to Mano, take the follwoing films 4 exapmle
  
  1) Semparuthi
  2) Pandiyan
  
  Mano killed all the beautiful tunes of "sembaruthi", especialy "nilakkayum neeram saranam", he has spoilt the song so much, but SJ has done an excellent job.
  
  IR being a legend is also an arrogant MD, but SPB is nothing like, that , he has no ego, he respects evryone, very friendly, down to earth, guy, these two were never getting along with each other for some time, this is a fact.

  i want to stress this point again: i have nothing against IR and i'm not angry at him if doesn't use SPB or whomever in his songs...as i have written earlier it's a composers decision which singer suits best for his song...and this decision should remain by the composer...but of course, if SPB fans are dissappointed about the fact that their idol is not being used...then it's their right to be dissapointed...but that doesn't mean that one then has to insult or whatever the composer (be it IR or ARR or whoever)...so, please don't put words like "u r right man, IR was unfair to SPB during the early 90's" in my mouth...cause i never told that...it's ur opinion, not mine...cause i just don't know...

  The whole discussion is bizarre. Rajini and kamal were the reigning heroes not so long ago. Now Rajini does one movie in three years and kamal does one in a year. Now the new crop of heroes like Ajith,Vijay,Vikram and Madhavan have taken over. Why the hell should the music directors give chances only to SPB and KJY? Things have to move on. ARR made SPB sing for Rajini in padayappa and Kamal in Thenali. IR gave SPB a lot of chances. So why blame them? If at all you need to blame them it is for using singers who can't even pronounce tamil properly.

  i hope arr is not a sadist to disappoint lakhs of spb followers. he know there as many fans of spb as arr. infact spb fans are much more than arr. it is duty of the music director to take into account the sentiments of the general public. arr knows pretty well that any song that spb sings for arr is bound to be super hit and there are no single song of arr which is not a hit but sung by spb. several good music of arr has been drained and his old songs are not heard much because ofhis selection of singers.

  PP is so good because SPB is not there. Its so wonderful to listen to.
  
  spb is the worst singer in the world!
  
  Hariharan is certainly a better singer than the nasal spb. Its because of sheer merit that he is being selected by IR and ARR. when spb was given chances in 80's it was because of recomedations and stupidity of the MD's.
  
  now atlast sense has prevailed.
