Ponnuthaayee is leaving, incessantly crying...

is she saamanthi or oomaththam flower ?
which flower is karuthamma ?
while people yearn for her in the village ...

I think it is a song by Kavi. BharathiDasan. It also features in the movie "Naam Iruvar".

also please advise me from which picture it is, the lyricist, playback singer etc. thanks.
even in dear kumarvenki's tfm page this is not there. possibly this picture came sometime in 65-66, when I was in secondary school. tks rgds jayaraman (from the beautiful town pudukkottai - pin 622 001 : ex student of TELC High School/HH The Rajah's College - house opp to the famous VKRamachandranPillai's hospital - can I look for some of old Pudukkottai people!)
