Yes, it was one of the best background scores done in Tamil cinema. I bought the CD last year and I have been enjoying it ever since. I hope they release the OST for 7GRC too.. I eagarly waited for the OST of Hey Ram which had the best bgm in indian cinema, but Kamal just ignored after the BO failure :(

As said earlier by someone, they are simply great. This is the first time we are able to hear a BGM recording in CD quality, which come to think of it, should have been made available for almost all IR movies from the past too. Imagine listening to CD quality original recordings of IR's BGM works in Salangai Oli, Moondram Pirai and Johnny etc. What a waste! I am sure no one in India would bother to rerecord those amazing tracks with the current recording standards of DTS or Dolby standards. Perhaps IR himself should gather his own troupe and get it done, maybe as a retirement project. Waiting for such a day.......

if they had done this with all indian cd's especially IR,ARR,YSR & KR ud see a big decrease in number of pirated cds sold.
one word to describe this AWESOME

I don't think so. Because the entire CD will be on the net and still people will go for it instead of buying original cds. But we can enjoy the recording quality if they get released in CDs.

Yes, the score was awesome in KK. I hope this will be same for 7GRC. SR said that Yuvan has lot of scope for BGM in it..

So you still give credit for YSR for this film, even after proving beyond reasonable doubt that he ripped of 3 songs completely and who know...even BGMs?

hahhaha
The funny thing is his originals (atleast so far), devathayai, thottu thottu and theme music are more popular than the lifted ones in KK. So I still give credit to Yuvan. I wish someone asks about his lifting in KK while interviewing. I hope he is brave enough to accept what he has done instead of malupifying like TB.
When asked about lifting the rhythm pattern for telephone mani pol, "Oh, is it? I never heard of that song" was his reply. What a crap!

Nattamai:
I thought you were intelligent enough and well informed in the modern way of song composing. What ARR did there and still doing is using some COMMERCIALLY available loops into his songs. It is perfectly legal and it cannot be termed as copying.
Well, if you are a computer guy, then you will understand what I am saying. The loops are like activex third party components that you have bought and use in your program. As long as you have purchased those components legally and no conditions attached, you can use them in your program/software and sell it to your customer on your own price. You need not give even a single pie for the one who ahd created the activex..because activex is meant only for reuse and that is what everybody do. Infact you need not even mention about them in your release notes if you are sure that it wouldn't matter.
This is how modern day proramming works...not like age old C, UNIX programs where majority of components are recreated (Well header files can still help though)...
Ippo...what ARR is alleged to have done is only this legal task in song composing...What YSR is proved to have done is copy the souce code of the activex itself , named it as a new component and and sold it as his own to a rather a known client who according to me knew that it was a plagarised product..because the client himself was developing a completely plagarised project for which YSR was responsible for one part...ie music.

I did not want to reply to your message. Don't get offended, but you seem like you don't know the facts before posting anything here (just like in the Iruvar-MD thing). Yes, I know the difference between using commercially available loops and taking from other songs.
Regarding telephone song: Can you do one thing first please? Find out the original of that song, and tell me the original also used the same commercially available loop. If you can't tell that, the answer is TB has just copied from the original. I will let you find yourself and come to your own conclusion. Please post your opinion here, I will be looking forward to it :)
FYI, TB has his share of using commercial loops as well as coping from other sources.
