  Madhuri in Kamal Haasan's bilingual?

  Kamal Haasan is geared up to do an epic Hindi film with Madhuri Dixit.
  
  Tentatively titled Kumar Sambhavam, the bilingual Hindi-Tamil venture will be directed by Sangeetham Srinivasa Rao (Pushpak).
  
  “Madhuri and I have never worked together before. My film requires a woman of substance who would look convincing as a wife and mother. There was really no second choice for the role,” says Haasan.
  
  The negotiations are in the final stages. Bharat Shah, who’s financing the Hindi-Tamil project for producer Haasan, has taken upon himself to get Madhuri (who earlier worked in his financial undertaking Devdas) to sign on the dotted line.
  
  The film requires another leading man too. “I already have someone from Mumbai in mind for that role. But I’ll reveal his name only after Mrs Nene is finalised,” says Haasan.
  
  In the meanwhile, as the Southern press is going berserk over the Kamal Haasan-Rajnikanth war, there’s a twist in the ticklish tale.
  
  Hours after the Rajnikanth camp announced Jaggubhai MBBS, apparently as a retort to Kamal Haasan’s Munnabhai MBBS, there’s a sudden reversal in the situation. Rajnikanth’s camp has changed the title of its film to Shanta Jaggubai. Rajnikanth, originally a Maharashtrian, says he’s now making the film as tribute to his mother.
  
  Says Haasan, “Whatever the title and whatever he’s making, I wish Rajnikanth all the best.”
  
  The title of the Tamil Munnabhai MBBS has been changed to Vasool Raja MBBS — since there’re no extortionists, only money collectors in Chennai. However, we think that Vasool Raja MBA might be a cleverer title. What say?

  What has happened to Kamal & Rajini? They seem to be thoroughly confused with the onslaught from Vikram & Surya...and to a lesser extent by Vijay (and Madhavan?!). Early days for Dhanush and the rest of the younger brigade...but they too look promising.
  
  Their state of confusion and lack of direction/strategy is clearly evident form their recent announcements. Look at the names....(Shantha) Jaggubhai & Vasool Raja MBBS. One hurriedly made the announcement just get some attention when the Arul, Peralagan, Gilli & AE fever was gripping tamil cinema.....the other is remaking a hindi comedy flick...going down the same old path of his recent cheap comedy flicks where he will deliver comedy with the use of a slang...in most cases...it will be the Madras bhashai. This is not what you expect from two senior (if no longer "leading") stars.
  
  Shankar has chosen Vikram over Kamal for his dream project. Munnabhai MBBS was first offered to Vikram...since he couldn't accomodate the offer...Kamal grabbed the opportunity. Also....his fans and his well wishers are seeking solace in spreading news that he is acting in Bala & Gowtham's movies.....now these guys are from the Vikram & Surya camp. How far this is true and confirmed...nobody knows. And...even then..they have made Kamal wait...Bala is first directing Dhanush/Surya and Gowtham is first directing Surya.
  
  Rajani and Kamal are steadily and suely losing their grip....if they have not already lost it!

  Munnabhai was offered only to Kamal, get an old copy of India today if its available :)
  
  Kamal rejected the story cuz he didn't wanna do a sci-fic film like Anniyan after Abhay.
  
  Get the sting back to your ..... and watch a Sivaji film.
  
  And did you read the sify review that there was nothing mentioned about Sivaji?

  Kamalhassan is going to do a bilingual movie. Kamal with his favourite director Singeeetam Srinivas Rao is making Kumara Sambhavam in Hindi and Tamil with Madhuri Dixit as the heroine.
  
  Ms Nene it seems has agreed to do the film as Bharat Shah the leading film financier and money bag is backing the project. Kamal has been quoted in the Mumbai press as saying: “My film requires a woman of substance who would look convincing as a wife and mother. There was really no second choice for the role”.
  
  There would also be a leading young actor from Hindi and Tamil who will do a parallel role in the film, which will be starting immediately after he finishes the Munnabhai remake.

  Kamal and Rajini are obviously in a confused state of mind..but please don't attribute this to younger stars..Kamal and Rajini have their own way..
  
  But it is natural for artists to lose direction and strategy, when they start realizing that there is something called age..They are not ready to lose the focus of arc lights they have been enjoying so far and also not able to digest that they cannot continue singing duets with school girls..:)

  Rajni and Kamal need not act in movies to prove what they are.
  
  It is the fans and millions of people who keep asking them, when they are going to make a new movie and force them even if they arent interested...
  
  I saw your post in Perazhagan thread as well. You might like Surya. But doesnt mean that you have to degrade Kamal and Rajni for Surya and Vikram to be a hit.

  Have you seen michale mada kamarajan. Have you seen Thenali?
  
  Just in one movie surya with help of modern technology surya tried some variety.
  
  Avvai shanmugi, Indian kamal make up pathi enna solla vaarenga?
  
  Surya neednt act like his father. Atleast if he can act 50 % of what his dad did, people will appreciate.
  
  You cant compare some people with giants like kamal and rajni who have been in industry for so long.

  "DIRECTOR Shankar saw the true face of the Indian press after the release of Boys. The film was harshly criticised by the print media, and the daily publications had the most opportunity to hammer Shankar, which they did with apparent glee.
  
  
  Boys has been dubbed a disaster and Shankar has a lot of damage control to do before his next film, Anni- yan.
  
  
  There have been allegations in the Chennai press that Shankar was, indeed, in India after the release of Boys. Callers to his office were told he was away on business in the US and then Japan. It has been alleged that Shankar was in hiding "like a common terrorist" because of the negative reaction to Boys.
  
  
  This has been fuelled by Shankar's absence from public functions. He reappeared in public on Valentine's Day when he and his wife dined at a hotel.
  
  
  Anniyan was originally scheduled to feature Kamalhassan. The fact that Kamal has been replaced by Vikram has raised the question whether cracks have appeared in the previously strong relationship between Kalainyaani and Shankar."

  Again i read in some tamil magazine that "Aduthu Kamal padam than ....AV or Kumudam"

  It's true that Shankar wanted to make a Sci-fi movie 'Robo'after Aalavandhan.Kamal did not want to do a double role one after the other.Also the failure of Aalavanthan coupled with the costs in making Robo&the story line forced them to keep the project on hold.You are right in saying that Shankar gave an interview saying he will do Robo only with Kamal.We don't know if Anniyan&Robo are the same.

  Don't waste your breath. I think this Kanna is the same dude who posted as 'Kannan from Sydney' in the I Saw Virumaandi thread.
  
  He disappeared after it was found that he had a bout of Schizo and was talking to himself under different names.
