*Rajini:with ARUNACHALAM not doing well,Rajini is keen to make his
next film a super hit.some say that the film is to be produced by
GV.the director is yet to be decided.one thing is for sure after a
gap of 3 years Illayaraja and Rajini unite(atleast now we can expect
some quality music in Rajini's films). I got this through e-mail from some of my friends. any comments?

  "Arunachalam not doing well" -nnu edhai vachchu
  solreenga? Probably Kalki, A.Vikatan, Kumudham

  movie ran to packed houses for 50 days endraal

  Aanaal onnu unmai: generally the movie did not
  have a quality finish in many respects: storyline,
  dialogues, and music, and so theevira Rajini
  rasigargal were disappointed. I heard that a
  big crowd of Rajini-fanatics went to Devaa's
  house to beat him up for not composing expected
  quality songs, and police was called to break-up

  I read in Thinaboomi:
  DEVA Veetukumun Rajni rasigargal kalAtta.
  
  Also in Kumudam kisu-kisu it was mentioned that
  Rajni was NO happy with Deva's music - also it
  said that Rajni should have considered C.Sundar's
  suggestion of making SIRPI (Ullathai alli thaa)
  as MD for aruNOchalam.
  3 weeks back kumudam said that Rajni decided to
  make ARR as the MD for the next film and again
  last week it said that it will be IR.
  Both Mani & Rajni are not happy about their
  last films (Iruvar and aruNO)..so they are considering to make a film together - also there
  seems to be a LADAI between Mani & ARR - so
  most probly IR will be the next MD for Rajni.
  
  Still aruNOchalam is running packed after crossing
  100 days. In terms of making money & num days
  it is NOT at all a flop. I atleast see 3 times
  a day (in my 3 hours of TV time) aruNOchalam
  songs prefered by listeners regularly.

  I just posted what I got througgh e mail from a friend here.. I am a rajini fan too , and it pained me when I read that Arunachalam was a flop. But then you guys say that it was otherwise. That's fine. I heard that the movie was pretty mediocre, Ulaippali or Panakkaran range.

  Rajini presented a gold ring to Deva,
  for the past two movies with him. But
  he didnt do that for Arunachalam. So his

  Kumar, I forgot to add this. I don know why Rajini
  kept giving golden articles to Deva. On the other hand he should have recovered more such articles from Deva !!

  Yesterday, I listened to songs from "Nerukku Ner"
  by OUR Deva!! What is happening? In the song Yengenge (by Asha)our beloved Deva gives us some crap. It looks as if Deva had recorded this song sitting inside a tinkering/welding shop!!! I just cannot believe this!! He repeats, does some bizarre cacophony work with instruments, etc., and I doubt his musical capabilities!! Thudikinra is another song which haunts you in a different way!! Mano and Bhavatharini sing this song and the Pallavi part has some aasai bits too. If Deva is in ecstasy, he goes back to Aasai bits (already lifted bits) gets them and puts them in his songs!! Manam virumbudhe is one solo no. by Harini and Unni and Deva wants to tread the path of ARR trying to give classical no. Futile exercise!! Aval Varuvaala by hariharan is the worst of all! The upcoming singers like Hariharan, Harini, Bhava, Unni should think twice before singing for Deva as the tunes are absolute trash!!!Podhu Janangale, pls listen to this Nerukku Ner and tell me!! No Jokes! Had I not listened to NNer, I would not have written this! I am sorry! Cant help it!

  One more thing!! How do people compare Deva's music with IR's? Deva's music never crosses the legitimate minimum pass range!!Its unfortunate that Deva scores music by the side of IR!! And behold! There is one DEVA_FAn!!Dear DEVA_Fan, you are not a Deva fan! You are faking!! At least a guy who listen's to Deva's music would not be so open in admitting his stand!!!No! It aint possible!!!!

  Why are getting so excited?
  One swallow doesn't make a summer! I am not trying to justify or coming to Deva's rescue but aren't you over-reacting? I head the Akila Akila song Nerukku Ner - what a laugh - it was a blatant copy! "Aval varuvala" IS passable - not great of course but alrigh to listen to... Sorry if you disagree. However, I agree with on your opinion on Yengengey.
  "Deva's music never crosses the legitimate minimum pass range!" Says who? Deva might not be an icon of originality but you have got to admire his staying prowess!
  As far as Deva copying IR and ARR - don't you agree that initation is the sincerest form of flattery?

  I'm a newcomer.Thought I'll add in some spice to the discussion. The song "Aval Varuvaala" from "Naerukku Ner" is a straight lift from the evergreen hindi number "Awara Hoon"!! Idhu thevaiya Deva?

  Guys I'm new here but not new to Deva's trash..I hope I'm not offending anyone,,,But lets face it he gave trash years ago in Suriyan and he stil is ...call him Xerox...call him trash...doesn't matter cos we can expect more of him io the future somebody save us!! Ugh!!
