  Well I have to agree that the album is really good. But his use of singers, like sukwinder is not so great. I don't know why these MD's always have to follow up with all the singers ARR has used successfully. Most of them sound so foriegn, the songs don't feel right. Anyways, although this album was good, YSR has a lot of way to go. I think this is his best offer so far. Maybe because Vasanth is the director. His movies always have good music. I suppose he gives a lot on inspiration to the MD's. Well, I just wish that YSR succeeds to make a good impression in the Music world.

  Poovellam ketty paar is growing on me real fast ( udahya r u listening ? :-). Poove Poove and irava pagala are great songs. Over all, his hardwork is very evident in this album.
  I also noticed an intersting thing about this album. It is very comman practice in hindi songs to use one catchy music piece ( mostly the tune) and repeat them thru out the song. In tamil, it is very rarely used, infact started by ARR and used by him in few songs like venilave venilave.
  In this album, YSR took this technique to new level. The whole song Irrava pagala can be written in few notes, I think. 'CBI enge' song, consists of more than couple of different music notes, used with different combinations. Same is true for 'poove poove' too. This is nothing against his creativity or lack of it, just an observation, I thought of sharing. Any takers?

  I'm listening, all right. Poovellaam Kaettuppaar is still (despite stiff competition from Sangamam and Kaakkaich Chiraginilae)my nominee for Soundtrack of the year.
  
  The sheer energy and invention in PK is unsurpassed this year. I see this as a perfect bridge between the past and future of TFM. YSR's next effort is on top of my most eagerly awaited list.
  
  If someone would give a link to BLAST songs on the net I would appreciate it. If I remember correctly, BLAST was an independent release in honor of India's bomb-test, so I'm more eager to hear YSR's next TFM release. Any news on that is also welcome.

  I though Poovellam Kettuppaar was BAD !. My opinion, of course. That 'poove poove' thing really got on my nerves; Don't talk about CBI enge..

  as ahri said the songs are growing on me too. at first i wasn't impressed by them. but i think YSR has done a pretty good job with the BGM for the movie. It was really refreshing considering the quality of BGMs in tamil movies of late. it pepped up an otherwise ordinary movie.
