Harini - an underrated singer...

What do you guys think? In my opinion, she is the best female singer in tamil nadu today. Loved her songs in Mudhavalan, Iruvar, etc.,.

  I think Harini is a great singer, she has a unique and sweet voice. I don't think she is being used as much as she should. She has the potential to sing some brilliant songs and show her talent for singing but hasn't been gettin enough chances to in my opinion. She has been around for quite long now, and I would really like to hear more songs from her.

  Harini criticised comment when Bhavatharini won the national award. She was bit jealous and said Bhavatharini doesn’t deserve national award where I do perform well in the cine field. Then Singer Sujatha replied that Bhavatharani doesn’t imitate other singers where Harini imitate P.Susila. If one wants to stand in this field personal attitude is most important.

  Harini is married to Tippu and they have a baby girl now. Harini tries to imitate KS Chitra too much. No individuality in her singing. I would rate her a shade better than Bhavatharini who is absolutely terrible.

  when asked about her opinion on Bhavatharini winning the National award for Mayil Pola, Harini replied that she did not want to comment about it as she did not feel bhavatharini deserved it.
  Bhavatharini doesn't deserve to sing and torture us with her awful goddam singing all the time.

  Harini is certainly overrated. The only good song from her is "Nilla Kaigirathe" and that too was good because she sang for a young girl. Apart from that, she just copies everybody's style including chitra and thinks she is a carnatic starwalt.

  ok i agree but u can see,variety is needed in the field and though the smoothness of chitra and sujatha,swarnalatha is absent there,harini manages to come out with some attractive sounds.

  Ofcourse P Susheela and SJanaki were legends in their own era. This is my current rankings as of today. I am basing this on my liking and not on how many "hits" they have and all that. People always bring "hits" to justify devan, tippu, are good singers.

  Harini has performed "Enna Thavam", from Parthiban Kanavu with fine finesse! A brilliant rendering.

  harini has a very peculiar voice which differentiates her from other singers.
  she has a very shrilling and hissing voice which even sounds well in a very very low pitch.
  i love her songs like alaghana raatchasiyae,telephone manipoll,nila kaaigiatahu,......all are very beautiful melodies.

  she is also one ruling our tamil film music.
  i think she is also doing other south indian languages.

  I heard that many Music diresctors are not giving Harini chance because she used to put a condition after marriage that she will only sing if Tipu was given a chnace to sing in the movie as well. Maybe this is why Tippu got more chances recently.
