  mr. raycas , not a single ARR fan hurts IR. we, the ARR fans respect IR a lot and if some ARR fan is hurting you with anti-IR remarks then tell him that he is not a ARR fan,cos ARR is known for his calm.he never criticises IR. be happy that we are living in the golden era of tamil music with ARR at his peak and IR still doing his bit. this wont happen again. remove ur prejudice against this LITTLE GENIUS...

  wht wrong with u? u seem 2 be getting worse from time 2 time..coz ur heart know BABA music is a superhit and ur intention is from stopping as many ppl as u can from hearing it...my boy i would like 2 tell u something its not like asking some childish things 2 ur friends...whtever u do...baba is getting sold day by day and its a super hit already over a million cas sold already...so plz this is not the place for u 2 claim ur stupid strategy saying idiotic things..i feel ur heart started telling u ppl r IGNORING IR now adays...hehe .....its just coz

  The following review is highly subjective and is also subject to change in future without notice after further listenings.

  The music of Baba is different and in the league of Paravasam and Kannathil imho. However, unlike those two, Baba suffers from a serious hyper-diamonditis sydrome with Vaali complicating matters further.
  
  While the tune of Kichu Kichu is so sweet, the lyrics are pathetic. 3.5/5 just for the tune. SPB gives a discourse on how rajni's black color is from his mommy and not by magic. The second stanza says Rajni will not change coz if he does not good for Tamil Nadu and that he will not leave TN come whatever may. Doesnt sound like a Duet to me, does it to u?? A typical case of hyperdiamonditis.
  
  The Dippu Dippu is deadly and IMHO rendered very well by Shankar but its gonna be interesting to see Rajni getting introed by that. the lyrics complement well. The Song of the Album, imho. Shankar sings it with so much energy. Diamond in normal form with good lyrics describing three stages of life. all three paruvams are described sweetly.

  Shakti Kodu is good also with interesting lyrics. I used to hate Karthik simply for his opening in Oliyile Therivadhu. But now he is back. The next best song of the album. Rajni asks for Shakti to rid the world of evil. Karthik scores high here.4.5/5
  
  Maya Maya is rendered well and the music sounds ok but I am still not able to discern the lyrics somehow. Will take some time i guess...

  But Rajyama with relatively decent tune ( this is after hardly 4/5 listening) falls flat simply becoz of sub-standard lyrics. 3/5 just for the pathetic lyrics.
  mannana... moulviya(i assume moulvi means some commoner) naalai engivan. some hyper-lyrics in the charanams. Pathetic.
  
  The Ekham Satyam is short and sweet. 4/5
  
  Overall will be 4 (3.9)/5 a very modest score for a rahman album but i reckon its more the fault of rajnikant, vm, vaali and suresh krishna than rahman. Those who disagree should listen to Bombay Dreams.
  
  But ultimately. the average rajni fan will love his thalaivar for such lyrics and still continue to worship Him. But since i am more of a rahman fan than one of rajnikant, i am disappointed there is no scope for Suthi Suthi, Kokku Saiva Kooku, Nilave Mugam Kattu, Alappol etc in Baba.
  
  Diamond surely has had his revenge on Rahman in Baba but dont know what came of Vaali. Lyrics, IMHO, are sub standard partly becoz of their provocative nature and I am surprised rajnikant still plays this double game. Also, in trying to be provocative, they have gone definitely overboard this time personifying Rajnikant as some great soul and he is playing karuthu kandasamy in all songs.. Which is too much. The lyircs of most songs have the jist of vidukathaiya as backbone. Appelernthu idhe kuzhappamthaampa.. Varuvara Mattarannu solli tholaikkama 5-6 varushama kazhutharukkirar... Chumma Film Kattrannu enga oorla solva... adhe kadhadhaan...
  
  At the end of the day, I am disappointed rahman agreed to such an album with too cliched and pathetic lyrics. He could have clearly avoided this since he doesnt need rajnikant. This, all the more so, since his KM and paravasam treats to his fans.

  I felt Shankar rendered badly, particluarly the way he sings Baba Baba....( like Making fun of Baba ). The way he sings paharuvam is also funny. This my subjective opinion and is not going to change even after listening 100 times...

  JJ, Please get out of this forum. If you donot like ARR & Rajini then donot participate here. IR is gone man. He gives some stupid music to low budget crap. ARR is the leader today not only in TFM all over India. Baba music is ok and that will do for Rajini. Read this week's kumudam, inspite of all the stars in starnite Rajini is still the main attraction. That speaks volumes about the Man's popularity. Today no big star is insisting on working with IR.   Are you supporting Rajini or ARR I cannot understand. You agree that Baba music is OK that itself is a let down for Rajini.So do you mean ARR doesnt care for Rajini? You are getting OK music for Rajini from ARR where as IR is giving great music to even small stars. You say ARR is leader and say Rajini is main attraction. But still ARR gives OK not the best music to Rajini?
  
  You can't say IR is giving stupid music when still his music is getting national awards and still people appreciate music. On the other hand you say ARR is leader who gives OK music.

  I am a fan of IR too. But don't tell me he gives excellent music always. Even for Rajni he has given bad music like "adhisaya piravi". And I can quote a big list of bad music by IR also. But, generally he is a great music director and so is ARR. Rajni preferred ARR because he is a great MD and also currently saleable. IR is a great MD but not currently saleable. That's the difference and the buck stops there.

  okay, u are making use of ur right to express ur view in an open forum. even if i'm not the person to grant u this right, i'm still doing so. okay, now we both agree to the above statement. but now, can u also explain me ur intentions behind making the same comments any number of times about the same music? i mean i'm just hoping to come further to the next level of discussion. so why are u stating the same comments again? what are u trying to archieve?

  the reason why i am 'going on after u' is not because i'm in some way attracted by ur postings, cause there have been a lot of others like u in the past, who were even more adamant in their mission of bashing someone than u. the only reason is that u have become a public nuisance in this thread (sorry if that sounded too rude)...i mean, u know it's like one of these unwritten rules...it's an arr thread, of course others are surely welcome to post their valueble comments, but as i said earlier, they shouldn't become a nuisance to the others, and that's exactly what u are becoming. otherwise people here wouldn't be complaining so much like now. u misunderstand that as desperate attitude, but just imagine there's a new ir release and some troublemakers walk into that thread and start bashing it 10 times a day and overfleding it with nonsence-mail. how would an ir fan who hopes that this release of ir would have good music and be a big hit react to this?
  u should try keeping a bit sensibility when attacking an artiste and that too in a thread created to discuss his music.

  really? when, where? didn't i state ur points saying this: u have already stated ur 'arguments', like no flow in the song and bad lyrics and bad pronounciation etc.
  so i didn't put down ur points. i acknowledge those few meaningful points (cause the others like 'arr doesn't know anything about first two genres [carnatic, folk]' or 'He keeps churning out recycled tune and junk music' i really can't accept, sorry).

  yeah, that's true. the reason is, i'm actually just a silent observer, haven't written here anything since months. it's just that i don't have enough time to write, it's just too stressing u know....i write something, then the other one writes back, then i must write back and so on...just like now for example.. and somehow u become addicted to it. now i got some time, thats why i thought of asking u what u were actually doing here...(and besides, i was here long before u came)

  we react for ur sake, atleast me, don't know much about the others. i can't understand why u are so adamant about bashing baba music. if u don't like it, okay, say and leave. as i said before the only thing i can't understand is why u are telling the same thing again and again (to which u still didn't give me a proper answer. ur right to express ur opinion in a free forum may answer the question why u are writing here anything. but what is the answer for writing the same thing again and again?

  sure fliflo, there are always black sheep on both sides, but u can't clap with one hand, isn't? okay, but i don't want to start with 'who started the bashing'.
  and all those words u mentioned surely don't fit here. i'm against all kinds fo bashing, be it an arrfan or irfan or some other fan.
  i mean, the question is: do we need a fight? isn't a peace-situation boring? if arrfans remained in their threads and kept on praising arr and irfans the same with ir (and raghu with spb) and if noone would interfere in other threads it would be boring, sure. so we need a discussion, a healthy discussion. but unfortunately this is a free forum where anyone with a simple internet connection can come and write some sh*t and go. and the poor regular posters who yearn for useful discussion are then disturbed by these fellows, who just seem to do all this nonsense for fun and due to lack of other activities. and this is really sad. i mean i wouldn't have anything against jj's posts if they weren't so rude and bashing-type.
