This time I am asking U guys to come up with Sweet melodies from Madurai Kalaiangar Vijayakanth Movies.

  Madurai Veerar Vijaykanth of late has not given us good music in his films.But take Amman Kovil Kizhakkale and all the songs in Chinna Kounder,they are all really haunting melodies of IlayaRaja

  I think Manitha Manitha is in "Kann Sivanthal Mann sivakkum" and not Dhoorathu Idi Muzhakkam. "Vaidegi Kaaththirundhaal" is an excellent film with all songs very melodious.

  yes manitha manitha is from kann sivanthaal man sivakkum and vijaykanth doesnot act in that movie.
  if i remember correct there was one movie called
  sivappu malli which has a good song. but that song is for chandrasekar and not for vijaykanth. can anyone recollect that song(sorry to go offtrack just thot even chandrasekar is from madhurai). :))))

  I am a little confused about song #3 that you have listed above. In my collection, I have a song which goes like:
  
  "Muththukkal pathikkaatha kannil muththangal pathikkattumaa, thiththikka thikattaatha muththam moththaththil kodukkattumaa, un penmai sivappaana muththam kodukkattumei, en kannam karuppaana kannam sivakkattumei..." (from UZHAITHTHU VAAZHA VENDUM starring Vijayakanth - K.J.Yesudas / Devendran).
  
  Are we talking about the same song? I like this song because this is not the "usual KJY type" of songs.

  Auto raja was MDed by shankar-ganesh but this(sandhathil paadatha kavidhai) song was done by IR.Previously he had tuned the song for a malayalam movie.

  Another one of my favourite Vijayakanth song is:
  
  "Sri Raaman Sri Devi kalyaana vaibhogam, aanandam aanandam aalaya oviyamei hoy...." (DOWRI KALYANAM - SPB & ?). Great SPB singing, classical Vijayakanth, tight white pants with bell-bottoms, etc, etc.

  punnagayil minsaaram from bharathan remains as one of the best executed dance songs of vijaykanth. prabhu deva himself has acknowledged that this song was the most challenging that he has ever choreographed.

  Doorathu idi muzhakkam had music of great salil choudry. It had a great song that couldnt remember. Any IR fan would love salil's music.
  IMO vijaykanth is real bad in music selection. Except the time he used IR, he always had crapy music in his movies.
