For a long time I've been enjoying songs sung by IR & S.Janaki, such as "Kannamma Kathal Enum Kavithai Solladi" ( Vanna Vanna Pookal), Nil Nil Nil Pathil Sol Sol Sol Ennai Vaataathe( Paatu Paadava)... and a lot more!! Just listen to it and you will feel the pain of Maestro's incredible voice. I really feel like getting mad when listening to it!! Lets discuss some of the golden pieces sung by IR & S.Janaki!

'Nil Nil Nil' is by IR and Uma RamaNan.,

But IR - Janaki combo has some very good melodies,

1. Naan thedum sevvanthip Poovithu (DharmaPathini)
2. Poomaalaiyee, thooL Seravaa (Pakal Nilavu)
3. Punnakaiyil Minsaaram (Bharathan)
4. VaLLi VaLLi ena Vanthaan (Dheyva Vaakku)

'Metti Oli' is IR Solo, I don't think SJ is there in the song,

Meera Krishna,

'KaN MalarkaLin Azaippithazh' is a wonderful song from movie 'Thaippongal' I guess, Forget Stupid picturisation ;-)

The movie has another very good song by KJY ... what is that ?

NagaS thanks for the information, but Metti Oli is a duet song. SJ's humming is so good. But I dont know the KJY song.

Others, Sorry for my mistake abt. Metti Oli, Sad, I don't have the audio version of the song and I was talking based on whatever I listen to in SunTV Frequently :-)

I expected your postings, as I remember reading you are from "Bendakaaloru". Can u tell me if I can find a CD of this movie in some place, there is a nice SPB song also in that movie.

One more IR /SJ duet, the opposite of "Metti" duet, in this IR only does humming, SJ sings all along with the beautiful composition by Meastro, movie " Aalapana" -"Priyathama thama sangeetham"

I remember one more song where IR does just the humming work and KSC sings the whole song, "oorellaam thunguthu, unnai mattum kaaNalai" from some Ramarajan, Revathy movie (Could be Gramathu Minnal, Not sure)

I think we need to start discussing about IR, KSC Duets also, May be IR, Sujatha also (ThoLmaelee ThoLmaelee, VayasuppuLLa vayasuppuLLa, Aaalamarththuk Kuyilae, Oru aalampoovu aththip poovaip paarththathuNdaa and so on ...)

The song "enni janmalu" is from the film
"Edu Kondala Swami Vratam" (?) starring Bhanupriya and Arun Govil. This is a duet between Lord Venkateswara and Padmavati. This is another good movie by IR in Telugu.

Thanks a Lot....I indeed watched the movie (Sree Yedukondala Swami)...and this song is really a fantastic melody from The Maestro. OOps, I forgot the starting words...Its truly a COOL duet and a musical retreat.

Also, Meerakrishna, besides the song I mentioned from "pattudhala" there is also one solo sung by Maestro himself-->
Eppudooo oppukovadhhuraa otami"

Even though I didn't listen to the song "'Deva Needhi ethu swamy....." (I don't understand Tamil - listen to them because of PS, SPB,SJ,IR,VJ, MSV, KVM etc), I guess the Telugu equivalant is "Emi Neethi idi Swamy, Annare Nathi Charami...." - going my the words and the little meaning I could guess from the words ;-)

I too don't think there's SJ in Geethanjali.. Some I could recall are:
-oru jeevan azhaithadhu (KSC solo, KSC/IR)
-malarE pEsu mouna mozhi (IR/KSC)
-thuLLi ezhundhadhu pAttu (IR)
