I have always maintained that TFM is most probably the richest form of popular music as it imbibes music from all cultures and traditions. Even rock and pop are seeing this form of experimentation only now in hip-hop.
Thus seeing the very rich discussions in newtfmpage has made me curious about what TFM DFers are listening to at any given moment. I am sure that tastes are always changing and evolving. So please share your current musical experiences here as it will also help each other broaden our listenting interests as well as our tastes in music. Thanks :)

Robert Johnson is widely regarded as one of the first great blues masters, a pioneer who has influenced the who's who of rock, blues and jazz.
Like many of the immortals, he lived fast, died young and left behind some great music for the world (not much in number, though, only 29 recordings in all).
I wouldn't recommend him to anyone who hasn't had previous exposure to the classic blues.

Trilok Gurtu is a world famous drummer, coming out of Europe - he is in fact Indian, but lives and workd in Germany. He works for Zildzian, like A.Siavmani. In fact, he started the trend for the 360 degree drum kit and sits when drumming. He has done extensive work with the European band MYNTA.

Defnitely CF...i am not able to give u a detailed review but just that 2 new songs have been added..
The "Muthalvane" song has been retuned into "Saiyaan" - a kind of Rajasthani folk fusion with the Mudhalvan theme music (the operatic chorus)playing in the end and even reminds you of a Tamil song maybe in the same raag. Quite nice and digitally rich. The voices of Sunidhi Chauhan and Hans Raj Hans are excellently used here !
"Tu Acha Lagta Hai" is the new number and now I understand why Athi was mentioning it in the other threads. It sounds like a portion of the "Urvasi" song but is a folk fusion number and also digitally rich. But this is only my first listening so I reserve my comments. The song is rendered by Abhijeet and a new name lending the female playback. Quite good.
Shakalaka Baby is the same but the lyrics lack
the punch of the Tamil version.
"Tu Chidiya Hoti To" is the "Azhagana Raakshashiye" number. The same rhythms, instrumentation and arrangements with a wee bit changes here and there but really well sung but I don't recall the singers names. The only black mark is the lyrics where the "pallavi?" ends in the cliched and much used "main kya karoon".
Shankar Mahadevan in his usual zesty style has rendered the "Upu Karuvadu" hindi incarnation "Ruk Suk Roti".
The other two numbers are the same.
