UV:
Orchestration is very well done. I believe even vocals are designed well to work with that...but the problem is that u couldn't sing in sruthi at some places or rather not flowing with whatever scale...this was not observed in the earlier version. Another thing...u have good voice and looks like u need to tame it further to finish. Do u get inspired by Dr M. BalamuraliKrishna...I see that u adopted his style of rendering the gamaka flow. I feel it'll be better to render the vocals with litter softer and smoother gamakas. Ofcourse it's very easy for me to give an advise but I know how difficult it's to be a good singer. My ears were expecting a smoother rendering whenever u say Aaaah...for eg., at 1:04.
In general, my comments are like though the orchestration isn't that rich in the earlier one...u did a good job there and that was much better than this one. Keep it flowing with newer ideas. Don't stop...After all Music is stress relieving exercise too...even if u have to devote time other high priorities.
RJAY:
Nice to Hear from u. But u're the one who's most active here and don't get out of that tradition. Relieve ur stress here...Want to hear something from u guru.
Srikanth:
Heard the Audio Trailor of Signatures...

Hey Jay:
I know why u like at 1:40 of UV's song...boy that's ur style of Music and it's good. You give similar Kicks in ur music...For instance in the last one "broken". That's very nice.

Aditya

Jay And Aditya
Thanks for your review points noted and well taken.
Yep I am little out of practise in singing.
Not able to spend time to practise as I used to earlier(read when i was bachelor).
Having said that, this is not a lame excuse but actually that vocals was recorded when i was having cold so you could find the difference in voices between the 2 version.
Aditya I learned classical music from Chitoor Appanna Bahagavathar(brother of Chitoor GopalKrishnan-Violinist) and also from Thiru Neyveli Santhanam(I dont like say that)esp if my singing is at fault :).
Question to you folks have you guys used Pro Tools how do you like it and Jay did try Yamaha Motif series I find them very good at par with Korg Triton

After knowing about ur classical background...my expectations from ur music have gone up...Do good music.
Just a note...Motif is not even half close to Triton in quality. They have a long way to go. I would see Roland's Phantom closest to Triton without sampler...but still triton is first in the race.

Aditya

I think Motif is an awesome synth. I tried it out at the local SamAsh store..
I feel the sounds on that are better than Triton...especially the Acoustic ones.
The Piano on that blows away the Triton.
But overall the Triton still wins due to the easy interface and great effects.

Jay
I agree with you, interface is easy in Triton
but anyway i will go for Motif because of the price range Motif 6 cost around $1500-1700
and init you have features that match Triton thats why.
It has great features realtimecontrols,arpeggiator,ISS,samplers,
FS keyboard (intial and aftertouch)+ plug in board (3 slots)(USB,SCSI)
What do you think?

Uv, one small piece of advice,
you need to know what you want?
how much you plan to use?
how confortable you are in using midi/audio based programs.
What other gadgets you have to get the best quality out etc...
and finally the price
Belive me triton or motif or roland or E-MU..All of them have feature that is enough for a domestic users. Everything depends on the music we make. we can make trash and a smash hit with any of these instruments.
It is very hard to decide - SIMPLY BUY ONE...and keep driving it till you get the next.
I do this all the time and dont ask too (or three or four) many opinions, you will end no where.

Jay:
You own Triton:-) shores on the other side looks smoother;-) going after Motif. Boy, triton is awesome.
I agree with u on the fact that Acoustic Sounds are not good on Korg Triton. But I have seen that their Expansion Boards adds realism on the acoustic sounds - Awesome Expansion Boards.
Adds to an expensive option but definitely not a limitation. Anyway I haven't tried Motif myself just heard some mp3. But we must remember that it depends a lot on the musician too.
UV, go for the gear that works for u and make good music - it's not Motif or Triton.

Aditya

Hi guys,
I got a Cakewalk express software and I am working on it to record my music. I am a novice to all these music softwares. I hope someone here would help me on this issue. I can record audio and the keypress tones of my keyboard in various tracks of Cakewalk but I can't record the inbuilt rhythms that come with the keyboard. Any suggestions?

Try MIDI bulk dump in your keyboard. I am not sure how it works, but I think it writes a complete song to different tracks. Check cakewalk for bulk dump as well.

Hi guys, My name is pardhu and I request you to guide and helpme. I have no experience
nor even the least amount of familiarity with synthesizers
and keybords. I am studying in BITS, Pilani and I'm
greatly interested in music. Presently I'm learning
Hindustani classical. I'm very much interested in
the software synthesizers and mixers. I've done
some tunes with the help of a keyboard software
called Playit and mixed the waves with the softawres
timidity, Fruity Loops and Goldwave. But I'm not able to
mix different tunes into a single wave with the help
of Goldwave, Can anybody please suggest the best
software for mixing and programming midi and wave files.
Please help me. I would be greatly thankful to you.

Hi Pardhu:
Try n-track studio. This is a very good software and affordable one. Ofcourse there may be some sites who would allow u to download for free and some gives you the cracks ( generate licenses back door approach:-)). Experiment with this software and u can mix down into one single wav file. In general these kind of softwares are expensive. Applying Real time ( non-destructive/destructive ) effects ( chorus/reverb etc., ) is a cool feature in n-track. Version 3.0 is the latest now and I guess it costs about 35$. Take a look at it.

Vishvesh, it depends on what keyboard you use,
there might not be a midi dump options,
if you have casios , it can be swithced on in the setup. (how to do it...tip:just read the manual)
these auto accomp and beats often comes in the midi channel: 10 to 15
10:beat
11:bass
12:accomp 1
13 accop 2
14: bridge.
Set cake to these channel and try to record them.
Best will be read the manual clearly.
If you tyell me the model I can tell you more.
