Here's what I can recollect-there may be some more too:
1.Ottagatha kattikko-Gentleman -with SPB
2.Kathalankaattu vazhi-Kizhakku Seemaiyiley-with JC
3.Barotta barotta-Vandicholai Chinrasu-with SPB
4.Errani kurrathaani-Kathalan-with SPB
5.Thaniye thaniye- Rangeela (tamil)
6.Nenjiniley nenjiniley-Uyire
7.Margazhi thingal-Sangamam-with Unnikrishnan
8.Kathal kaditham-Jodi-with Unni Menon
9.Mudhalvane-Mudhalvan-with Shankar Mahadevan
10.Endhan nenjil-Alli Arjuna-with Srinivas
Also, ARR's first album, even before Roja, called Andhimaalai had all songs by SJ, the other singers being SPB and Mano. SJ's' Andhimaalai kovil vandhen'is a lovely song. Another great song from the album is 'Kaathal sugamaanathu' by Mano-SJ.
I have heard that SJ has also sung in the unreleased Udhaya, though I am not sure.
It is really a wonder that SJ who started singing in 1957 is continuing to this day. She, who sang with legends of bygone days like TR Mahalingam, KR Ramasami, AM Raja, CSJ, Seergazhi Govindarajan, TL and TA Mothi is now singing with the singers of today like Unnikrishnan, Shankar Mahadevan and Srinivas.
(Margazhi thingal from Sangamam fetched her the TN State Award for 1999(at the age of 61!)- she had first won the award in 1970 and several times in between).
From G Ramanathan, SMS, R Sudarsanam and ChalapathiRao to ARR, Bharani, Yuvan Shankar Raja abd Vidyasagar- she has worked with generations of MDs.
Her achievements in tfm are many and unique--

Saravanan:
Andhi Malai is not by ARR...its by a person with some peculiar name...ospechaan or some thing...ARR just played keyboard for that I presume...these cassette company people just projected ARR's name for sales sake...
ARR already had clarified that several times in the past

More wonderous is the exit Jaanaki has had in different languages. Untill 1988, or 87 at least, she was the be all and end all of Kannada music.
By 1990 she was nowhere to be heard!!!!
Almost the same for Telgu.
In Malyaalam she was the topmost female untill the late 80's. Again nowhere to be discovered after 90!!!!
In Taamil her reign extends to 93. But again after 95 her songs are as few as to be counted on fingers!!!!
Like Jaanaki their are many who have gradual ascend but none has so steep a descend.

outsider probably you dont know anything about S.Janaki's kannada songs. Did you listen her first kannada song or did you tell me which is her last song in kannada. Her first entry in kannada was 'Sri Krishna Garudi' in 1957(title song, I have that song with me) after that she never turned back. She dominated kannada industry till 1995. Even in 1997 she sung all the songs under Vidhyasagar's 'Ganga Yamuna' and recently in 2002 the movie called 'Kalarava' all the songs sung by her. And last month she has sung on more song in the movie 'Nanjundi' under Hamsalekha. I have all most all her Kannada songs(tamil, telugu, malayalam and some Oriya songs also) You have written after 1990 she was nowhere to be heard. I think you dont have time to hear her songs or if you dont like to hear her songs. If you need her '90's songs I will give you the links. Plese dont make such kind of statments. If you need any proof please contact some kannada people. Dont thing otherwise please forgive me if I hurt your feelings.

Dear Kasturi,
As far as Kannada songs are concerned, I have heard about 14 thousand film songs in the language. I thought that it is a reasonably good number to form an opinion. Most of the songs that I have heard belong to 70's and 80's. Whereas about 3 thousand are from 90's. And from these 90's songs I have rarely heard a song featuring Jaanaki's voice. Almost the only mainstream female voice in the 90s has been that of Chitra.

Outsider, 'I have rerely heard a song featuring SJ's voice', so strange! probably you didnt heard about V.Ravichandran. His almost all Hit songs are composed by Hamsalekha, and sung by SJ and SPB. Because Hamsalekha's entry in kannada was 1990. After 1995 might be Chitra, I dont know about her songs. Visit musicindiaonline and listen Premaloka, Ranadheera, Hallimestru, rasika, Yuddha kanda, Shanti-Kranti, Ramachaari, Sangrama and Annaiah(lot of movies but I forgot) etc..etc..all songs from Ravichandran's movie and MD Hamsalekha sung by SJ and SPB.(and all songs from 90's to 95) Lot more songs under Rajan-Nagendra also. She was(is) the favorite women in Kannada Film Music.

Dear Kasturi,
Thanks for pointing out the 90s Kannada songs by S Jaanki. I feel myself really unlucky that I have not had the opportunity to hear these Jaanaki songs of the 90's. Instead I had to hear Chitra which I have been much less inclined to hear than Jaanki.
Raajan-Naagendra duo was the most influential as well as prolific music composeing unit in the 70s and 80s. Later they were succeeded by Hamselekha.
One point needs to be raised. The Ravichandran movies that you have pointed out-- are these some famous mainstream ones or rather shadowy and less publicised ventures???
If these were mainstream films, one expects to come accross their songs in some collections of film songs relayed on radio and satellite channels.
Anyway, are the songs mentioned by you are available online?

Kasturi,
According to you S Jaanaki made debut in Kannada in 1957. It was the same year for her Taamil debut. Can you tell who was the music director that gave her first song in Kannada?
Any other details about this song??

Ravichandran was the K.Balaji of Kannada cinema. After Premaloka etc, he rarely made originals. He bought rights to hit movies in other languages and remade it into Kannada, taking advantage of Karnataka governments ban on dubbed movies. For example his halli mestru was from mundhanai mudichu and ramachari was from chinna thambi etc. Hamsaleka made quite good numbers for them. I think Kasturi forgot Bannadha Gejjae (if i am right with the title-starring Amala and Ravichandran) It had good songs too.

outsider, SJ's first movie 'Sri Krishna Garudi's MD was 'Sri Pendyala Nageshwara Rao'.
Kitkat, Thanks for reminding 'Bannada Gejje' the song 'Swati Muttina Male Haniye' beautifully rendered by SJ and SPB. I also remember one more movie Kindari Jogi, the movie was super flop but songs are really good. Ofcourse Ravichandran was the remake king of Kannada movies, I dondt like his movies but songs are good.
