  Rajini should act in somewhat matured roles don't you all think? His face shows that he has become old and this is not 70s or 80s to see old people singing duets with young heroines.

  I agree with you 100%!, He may never do romanting scenes that much, in fact, if you have watched his last few films, Baba ? Padayappa, there were not much romance compared to other senior actors like Kamal, Vijayakanth, Sathyraj, Sarath Kumar ...

  The current appropriate roles for Rajini would be like the one he did in Arulirinthu 60 Varai, Engeyo Ketta Kural, Mullum Malarum etc. He should follow Amitabh's way like he did in 80s and 90s

  My point is this!
  When it is a question of acting, you cannot stipulate that one must act only in such roles,etc.
  When an actor can act as an oldman when he/she is young, the same way, if they act as young when they are old, that is allowed.
  As long as they are not hiding their age in real life with wigs and all, but do so only in movies, that is 'acting'.
  Accept it or reject it.... after viewing the movie but not before that!
  SS is not doing what NT and Mt haven't done! That's why they are still remembered and revered!

  May be the ardent fans can see him as a youth. My point is you could make a young man look old with all the make up since those makeup masks are available. How could you make an old man look young. We saw in Baba where Rajini looked very old may be I would say 45 while people say he his 25. I would also say the same thing about Kamal where in VR he was 25. I couldn't digest that. May they should have plastic surgery or botox done to uplift his face to look young. Toupe alone never helps the look. I am not stirring up any controversy just an opinion thats all.

  They say the movie will be like Rajathi Raja. Hope the songs turn out atleast half as good as it was. Man I'm still waiting for someone to give a dual voice overlayed/imposed number like "Vaa Vaa Manjal nilavee"

  The only thing that really bothers me is this VS's habit of giving Udit narain a song or two in all his movies!
  I hope Vs goes for SPB for Rajini in CM.

  SK, I agree with you 100% about VS choosing SPB, SPB is the Ultimmate choice for Super Star!
  
  VS was once an excellent composer, esp in terms of melodies Like 'Malare Mounama', 'Bhoomiye Bhoomiye poo mazhai', 'Poovukellam sirahu','malai katru vanthu',.., infact in this era, VS is second to IR in terms of Melody, but recently his trashes like Ghillie, madure , has disappointed me big time

  I admire Rajni sir, for what he is, he looks very aged & bold, yet he does not wear a wig or do plastic surgery to look young in real life, you have to appreciate his simplicity, hats of sir!
  
  now, coming back to vazhipokkan's comments, I think Rajni will still look cool, if he acts his age!!, in fact I prefer him to meaty roles like what big B does in bollywood, or what Sean Conory does in hollywood!.
  
  Us indians have this Stero type that Hero has to look beautiful, this is utter rubbish, look at hollywood, Clint Eastwood, Roger Moore, Sean Conory acted as heros in their late sixties, did they ever look like a 25 year old hero, NO!!!
