  Cant you just give these guys time? Its one heck of a responsibility to take up despite their secular vocations. A task like this will have a zillion loose ends and the last thing thats needed is thinnai criticism from wishy-washy sceptics like you.
  
  Go ahead SSS and co, there's a whole lot of silent IR fans who've dreamt of this enterprise and are quietly egging on. Of course, stepping clear over the flotsam and jetsam is an just additional responsibility you have to shoulder in your endeavour. Our wishes are with you!

  Very interesting to read all the mails. As usual, some are hurtful, but when that is the intention of the writer, there is no point in getting into that trap and lose the focus. YES!! IIR is in USA now and things are going pretty well for TiS. We will be giving an account of all the happenings during these three exciting days by Monday once I return to my city. In the meantime, we have only one sincere request-- PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BELITTLING IIR IN THE PROCESS. His genuinity is something one has to experience and all your notions and concerns will be soon dispelled.

  Thats good for the album and common people who want to know how their money is used.
  Any public fund raising program should have transparent details, hope you understand.

  I am not against any Album by IR but i am totally against if IR or anybody wants to play safe, Enjoy public money and make profits.
  Forget profits even a risk free venture is not genuine.
  There are pressing things to attend i understand but first the modus operandi has to be clear and transparent.
  If it is then it will convince everyone. i don't know why they thought it wasn't neccesary at all.
  I wont care to write this if IR has a contract with a big music company but if you want to involve public funds then you must bring out the data.

  I am not sure that IR wanted anybody to raise money. In fact after many weeks after this process only IR thanked whoever involved.
  
  Also, not sure whether he want to accomplish the entire task by this kind of money raising or this is only a supporting fund. If he is serious, he should be having some back up plan.
  
  Coming to his investment, he spends months together for this project. Had he spent that time in giving music for movies, he could have earned money. Is sacrificing earning is not investing? That too for a noble project like this.
  
  I agree that things should be transparent. But that apart, considering the earnings goes to Music Institution or whatever, I am not finding anything bad.
  
  You guys are putting him on criminal category, as if he is going to swindel the money. Entire tfm knows, IR has highest degree of selfrespect. We have not heard anything bad about IR regarding money matters in the entire career. Giving weightage to his past track record on this, we can give benefit of doubt to IR.
  
  May be the entire stuff is not professional handled, but I would not question the integrity of IR over this.

  i ain't putting anybody on criminal list, i just wanted to bring out certain hush-hush areas of this project.
  Yes IR does spend his time for this project but for instance if he takes a crore rupee of salary then that mounts to working in more than 10 films.
  IR is paid a salary to the tune of 10 lakhs per film, let them come out with the statement that IR isn't paid anything, it's his dream that the public is supporting and which later would be invested for the school.
  If somebody from TIS camp can clarify its a service and not a business venture that will be great, and i repeat it will attract more contribution.

  I beleive TiS will be out. I know about the financial difficulties. But, its puts everyone in bad light if the project does not come out on time advertised. Because this project involves not only IR, it also involves other artists and other arrangements, it will take sometime and its not wise to increase people expectations. My point is ... in a noble project like this, there should not be any misinformation and it should be more transparent than it is now.

  Hi Vatsa, understand your concerns. But this thread being probably the only source to disseminate info about the project(not all with go to the site on daily basis), why dont u mail the TiS team, I'm sure they would clarify all your points. Knowing the sensitivity of this forum, a question wrongly worded will only invite the skeptics and hecklers to start riots here and divert :)

  Nobody has explicitly confirmed about his salary for TIS. But, it all started when IR went and met Kanchi Jeyendra Saraswathi Swamigal and told about his idea of starting such school. I read that message in magazine. It was also told that Kanchi swamigal supported this with good words.
  
  
  Going by the nature of this and nature of support he gets, I think this project is money minded. He has got some other swamigal support also for this. I am almost sure that he atleast gives his time free.
  
  Also, raising public money is not his idea. Also he is very particular he want to do it in grand scale. Proabably he should be having some backup plan.
  
  Regarding your comment on Kamal's help, Kamal will only give lip service. Everybody knows that. But he is a fan of IR, that is different.

  Let me personally appeal to you to refrain from using such language. Please, do not do this. This is a forum to bring out the greatness of THIRUVAASAKAM and IIR and dont convert into bashing anybody else. Thank you.
  BTW, I am back from NY/NJ after spending 4 glorious days with IIR and a detailed account will follow in the next 24 hours. I was stranded in the snow in Richmond, VA for two days and just entered home by taxi! I will not burden you all with that! Pl. bear with me!
  In one sentence, TiS has taken off to a great start!! More soon!!
