We can upload mp3s, but we dont. The reason is simple: prevention of piracy. An mp3 file can easily be converted to a wav file and can be written on to a CD with any std software. It beocmes an audio CD.
what we intend through our pages is to provide samples of the genius of the composers, thereby aiding in the better sale of their albums in the form of CDs and Cassettes. mp3 is exactly against it.
See the next post for further info.

For those who are interested in high-quality audio files I recommend to visit:
http://www.swara.com
You find 44Khz sampled files(.rm) equal to mp3 in quality. Yes, the quality is exactly equal to mp3, but the file still is .rm
Two options are provided
(1)Streaming option - for high speed users
(2)Downlaod option - for slow connections
a lot of songs are to be uploaded. You can check out "avathaaram" and assorted hits.

Hi All,
Did you have a chance to listen to "azhagiya kannE" song of the week from my site. There is one interesting thing about this song is as mentioned by director Mahendran, just towards the end of the first interlude our man just makes the music like a wave moving up and down and this was nicely picturised by AshokKumar with a small goat jumping up and down, that's a real treat to watch.Sucn combo of skilfull people together will be real difficult to get these days. Also you could notice the tempo of the song changing slowly to mild pathos towards the end of the song which will create a great effect. Personally it's my ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG and ideal canditate for SONGS THAT TOUCHED OUR HEART.

Hi RB:
Fantastic electricals is located diagonally opposite to Abirami Theater and Kellys round tana. You can easily miss the stores. There are a couple of shopping complexes located in twin high storied buildings and after that you find this stores. I recently recorded many songs from this place. Quality of recording is not all that great. Maintenance is very poor. You will get tears on seeing those valuable LPs and EPS lying there with so much of keerals and dusts.
But no other go, they have the best collection.
Good luck!

I was just listening to "Rojavai Thaalatum Kangal". I think the song has been recorded at a tempo that is slightly faster than the original (guessing it from SPB's and SJ's voices). But I just listened to the song twice and I think I'll go and listen to it again - no, not to find more faults with the song, but to get drowned in its mesmerizing tune :-) Thanks for putting up this lovely number from IR. 1982 was the year mentioned in your site - I shall never get over the fact that I was too young to fully appreciate this genius at his peak :-(

Recording centers there have very old songs.
I have also seen a banner near Vadapalani SARAVANA BHAVAN which reads like they have any song right from the year 1931. You better check there.

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 3, 1999--With Internet radio stations popping up every day, and RealNetworks grabbing headlines everywhere, you would think that audio had already arrived on the Internet.
In fact, the complexity of creating RealAudio has made hearing sound the exception in cyberspace. To solve that problem, Trio Systems has just released a new Internet development tool: SoniClear(TM) Internet Voice Recorder.
Using SoniClear, Webmasters can create spoken-word presentations quickly and easily. The program is sold online and is available for download at www.triosystems.com/soniclear. SoniClear runs on Windows 95/98/NT. The price for SoniClear is $99 per user.
The vast number of sites on the World Wide Web is growing daily, which means Web developers must compete for viewers' attention. Hearing a spoken message engages the ears, and quickly gets the point across.
``In three years it will be unheard of to have a Web site without sound,'' commented Alan Bartholomew, president of Trio Systems. ``With SoniClear every Web developer can easily create the audio files needed to keep on the cutting edge.''
Possible uses for SoniClear include product promotion, corporate news, spoken resumes, interviews, speeches, talk shows, comedy and drama.
RealAudio compresses sound files dramatically. Before SoniClear, Web developers had to master the arcane techniques of audio editing software to get satisfactory results. It could take hours to tweak a WAV file just right to prevent a thin and distorted sound.
To simplify this process, SoniClear records the voice directly using the computer's sound card. It then automatically optimizes the sound file for Internet presentation, and converts the recording to RealAudio or Java AU formats -- all at the press of a button.
SoniClear Internet Voice Recorder features:
-- Familiar tape recorder-like user interface
-- Records voice directly from microphone or line inputs
-- Simple recording level controls
-- Automatic voice optimization for Internet delivery
-- Conversion to RealAudio and Java AU file formats
Trio Systems also has tested dozens of professional microphones to find which work best with RealAudio. Trio Systems is offering the best microphones along with all the hardware and cables needed to connect to the sound card:
-- SM7 Microphone Bundle ($795)
-- VR116L Microphone Bundle ($275)
-- VR116L, microphone only ($99)
-- SoniClear Microphone (free with purchase of SoniClear)
Trio Systems LLC was originally founded in 1978, and is located in Pasadena. Since 1984, it has licensed the C-Index/II Database Library to software developers. C-Index/II has been incorporated into thousands of applications with millions of users depending on it every day to manager their valuable data.

Srinath:
You may be right. The tape recorder I had been using while encoding, is an old one. Certain casettes run fast in that. Somehow I missed to correct this one and a few other too :-(
Certainly 'Rojavaith Thalattum' is one of my favourites. I would suggest you to hear the pathos version of the song 'Kaanal Neer Pol' (available at YASI) too. The orchestration would be excellent! I have a similar pathos version of a well know song - Pothi Vacha, too. You will be amazed at the orchestration of this song! Normally I get bored by pathos versions of songs (like Vellaip pura onru), but these two songs have wonderful orchestration. Appidiye sogatha pizhiyum.
