Ravi & Co. - Congratulations on w good job. TH DF is really getting better and better. Care for some criticism?
1. I prefer the bright red used for the subject, as it is more prominent.
2. Could you revive the thread on TFM links, as there were many interesting sites there?
3. The idea on permanent and temporary threads is superb. However, the font size is a bit small. I am afraid I may not be able to read them as I grow older. :-))
4. Dividing the subjecta nd ocntext is a great idea. Now, even first-timers won't make mistakes.
5. For old responses would it be too much trouble to also include the first posting, which usually serves as an introduction?

I like the new TFM front page pictures and congrates. I hereby request TFM admin to add a picture of my fav. singer P.Susila. Thanks in advance. I hope in future we can have sections like Devotional, Classical, Semi classical, Evergreen melodies, super hits, great music score, great singers, great music directors etc.

NOV,
2. I think we have updated our pages with all the new links. If there is any miss, pl point out.
3. It's a compromise. Since the main page is split into 2 columns, the big font will not be aesthetically pleasing.
That's why we made the font small. (suggested by Bhaskar)
5. Now the introduction and title appear above the "Responses" line, you see.. So this is ok.
Guhan:
Your wish for susheela pic will be granted soon.
Thanks for the feedback.

NOV: Re:5 I see your point. As Rajaram pointed out, for the new threads, this problem is automatically addressed. I can add the first post for the permanent threads.

Hi guys,
Nice work TFM maintainers !!. Splitting DF into permanent and temp stuff was cool. Can some kind of ordering be brought into Discussion list ? Simple numbering would help in reaching the right discussion one wants to participate faster.
Bye,
Mukund

out, please add more women geniuses of TFM so as not to get
stamped as MCP-s.

I dont know if it is due to my browser..
but I see that the Threads list wraps around the box on left.
Is it possible to straighten this?

Gokul: We didn't see that happen with NN,IE or Cello. What is the browser you are using? It might be that you have a bigger than usual font setting for your default. Could you give us more details.

It's taking atleast 2 minutes to load the front page and 1 minute for query. Sometime its saying page not found; sometime its goes in to loop:-(
Is it because of WebTV!!!?

Rajan: Does it say page not found in the discussion forum? ExactA enna message varuthunnu solunga. The otehr problems you have might be due to WebTv.
Gokul will look into it, when I get my hands on IE3.0. IE is known to have some trouble with displaying tables correctly.

on: Mon Mar 2 20:53:30 EST 1998
Gokul,
On IE 4.0, the "Permanent topics" appears as a left-inserted table on the current topics. I mean, the "current topics" doesn't appear as a separate column. Is this what you are referring to?
We can correct it by making the "current topics" also as a table. The problem is: you can see any of the current topics only after the table has loaded completely, which may take quite a while for people on slow links. That's the reason why we keep the layout this way.
I hope you can tolerate the slight aesthetic inconvenience.
MSK
I'm also planning get Vani Jayaram pic. You should see them all during the next revision.
Pagalavan & others
The new site is on a very high bandwidth connection. We have tried to get the best deal. (For technical details, refer to the note at the end.) The speed difference is surely not your imagination : )
Rajan
: ( Your problem seems to be unique. I'll get in touch with you over mail.

Rajaraman,
How about a "align=right" for the table? You could solve Gokul's problem.
