Minnale--Songs and BGM

With Minnale getting outstanding reviews from news papers and theatres having festival crowd of youngsters Harris can be proud of his songs and appropriate back round score....His hard work is evident every scene...People who have seen this film can comment here on the song sequences and BGM.

  He seems to be a lethal combination of melody(Raja) and fusion(Rahman). He is very good in BGM too. Deena,Vanchinathan and Friends will be swept away by Minnale.

  Man Minnale is the album of the year. Harris is gonna sweep away ARR and make IR run away from India. He's the next "man". I also heard from a relaible sourec that he scored music for the last 3/4 ARR movies. Please don't tell this to anyone. A.A you especially.

  To wipe out IR from records..he needs 22 years of experience and atleast 800 movies in count. HJ will be in the field as like others. He sounds more like ARR and whether he sticks or wiped away will be detemined by his future performances. If minnale is good just stick to that. It is too much to talk what happens to other MD's because of his entry.
  
  Remember: A big fire can evaporate small amount of water. But a big ocean can put off any sized fire. And IR is an OCEAN. HJ is just a little fire. May go off in a future wind, who knows.

  After hearing all the songs of Minnale I feel that Vaseegara was a fluke. will have to see how Harris performs in his forthcoming albums now that he has added pressure to deliver. Jeyaraj's debut pales in comparison to Roja.

  HJR has good experiance, he did not start overnight. He has worked with many mds, frankly he has seen more music than many of the current mds now. We have to see his consistancy.
  Imho: Vasigara is great..well constructed score. Nothing more nothing less.

  I can't imagine someone can say that "vaseegara" was a fluke...no one said that IR is not good, but he's not the only person that can score good music..one needs to open their minds to other musicians...and I think HJ's songs are absolutely great. The way Vaseegara is rendered and also all the other songs are great.

  I too agree that rest of the songs arent good. He can be on par with praveen mani etc. Rahman I beleive is still a better class of MD.

  IR is a ocean. But ocean water is useless to drink. Same way IR is an useless fellow spend 22 years and wasted money of 800 producers. IR is a psycho patient. He underwent treatment in Columbus.

  I saw Minnale last sunday., Picturisation of the songs is not good at all, (Vaseegara song SunTV 'Midnight Masala'la vara maathiri irukku, NOM ;-)., I guess the director hasn't used the oppurtunity - good story, good music .... But the movie looks below average.,
  
  BGM paththi pesaama irukkiRathee mael, Oreeeeeeeee saththam, 'Azakiya theeyee' song padam muzukka varuthu - BGM enDRa peyaril, Harris Jeyaraj follows ARR in this style (also) - BGM is either instrumental version of a song (Abbaas varumpoothellaam 'Iru vizi enathu' song., Madhavan varumpoothellaam 'Azakiya theeyee' song) or a 'High Volume kaththal'.
  
  However, songs are very much opt. to the movie situations., Harris, aduththa padam enna ?

  come on give me a break she has sung it very beautifully and sensually infact her voice lifts the song to a new level of melody. It doesnt sound like a old womans voice

  he could have used Vasanthara she has got a husky voice,has she sung any soulful melodies so far let me know,

  Minnale is OK, but nothing near when compared to Roja or any other IR's good songs. Ranjit Barrote's VIP also was very popular, but at that time ARR was not so popular (ie..ARR was becomming popular), so RB didn't get that much hype. HJR has come at a time when ARR is most in-demand in South and north and since he sounds like ARR, people and largely press has hyped up this film. I am not saying that it is bad but I would treat it on par with VIP.

  You got a point there but i was just thinking why dint YSR didnt get this much hype?!
  is the Press kind of partial you mean to say
  and I dont think songs become hit just by luck
  he has shown he can do more but may be we have wait for his next few release I guess
  Going by his music arrangment I guess he will be in demand.

  UV no im not for Vasuntharas voice either. In fact now i started liking the song very much.
  See my previous posting..that was my first response to the song on my first hearing.
  Now i admit that Jaishrees voice does sound different and good(but it still sounds old).Also the meoldy, music and lyrics add beauty to the song

  jayashree doesn't sound old, but mature. hers is not the kind of voice that suits a teenager or a very young girl (which is what reema is).
  i would rate the song pretty high, and the others songs are not all that bad, i mean the musical part. lyrics are awful.
  as for the bgm, i think harris did a pretty decent job, given the kind of film he was working for.
