newtfmpage surfers get-together???

hi all, lot of music fans hang out the entire day on newtfmpage.com. How about a get-together? :-)

  We guys (Suresh,LLD and myself) had a small meeting today...at Woodlands Drive-In
  I shall not elaborate too much abt it for Suresh will do it in his ENGLISH and make sure everybody understands! (tough task....but still he'll definitely try! ;-))
  
  LLD was the first to arrive...he actually did not know where Drive In is...so wat he did is went to Stella Maris and then thadukki vizhunthufied in Woodlands! ;-) ... he was cursing isai_nanban for the place wasnt that colourful! ;-) .... it was kinda colourful later but unfortunately 'peeps' cudnt peep out :-)
  
  kadaisiya vanthathu namba 'peter'...suresh that is...hehe....i was glad i din get to converse with him in english....avar GRE level-na naan A for apple level! :-) he cud have always spoken his English and convinced me easily that it was Greek! ;-)
  
  the main meeting i guess would be on 25th

  C~P, sorry machchi. any time of the day, evening, especially between 3 p.m. and 5p.m. ;--) that badam milk place opposite the stella gets busy in the 6 to 9 p.m. times friday, sats, etc.. but landmark is also very good for colorful convergensation ;---)! please also try to make a visit to Prasad studios meet the musicians, u can get some anecdotes, i think etc...

  btw the badam milk place? ... do u mean Gangotri?? ... thats a really nice place actually...u can sit inside and they have big transparent windows which let u see the opposite bus stand! ;-)

  We had a short committee meeting that the weather gods approved by bringing some rain to the parched chennai bhoomi. It was a perfect setting to be in the drive-in with the rains cascading outside your window, would've been even better with a different kind of company ;-)
  
  Anyway, I'm happy to report that we did bridge the generational gap in newtfmpage quite seamlessly. The meeting also served to introduce our friend LLD to other landmarks in Chennai apart from LIC building, Marina beach and Tiruvottiyur/Velachery bus & train stops. IR fans sore with me will be happy to note that 'Pithamagan' was the chosen BGM for the meeting.
  
  AGENDA for 25th
  
  * Kupps and Raj seem to be out for 25th, are all the others on? Is anyone out here having a thalai (vali) deepavali?
  
  * Depending on time available for the majority, we can decide whether we meet at Drive-In/ Marina/ Elliotts or go to a distant location such as MGM. Either way, a time band between 3-4 pm should be ideal.
  
  * For better planning, we need to know - 1) how much time do each of you have, can you stay for dinner 2) what modes of transport will you use 3) do you have meal/drink preferences that need to be addressed
  
  * You could mail me, LLD or C~P on these

  Beautiful cloudy saturday evening at woodlands drive-in..its a long time since i hav been to that place..:-)..they hav maintained that greeny appearence there for years..hats off..:-))
  i was late by 5 minutes and once i entered the parking lot i was searching for suresh's white zen..aah..there was one..three guys were standing near the car..i thot one might be suresh and appraoched with a smile..but the reg number was different..oops..this is not the one..so thot of calling him..he said he is on his way and will be there in 5 mins..i started lookin for C~P..he just arrived in his scooty.. the first thing i asked him was why isai_nanban reel vittufied that this place is colourful..the only bright colour i cud see in the near vicinity is C~P's RED tshirt..super red colour..we were discussing from oil prices to attack on naidu and soon one zen appeared..and i got a call..its suresh..
  
  he came near us and asked us to get in..we parked in a nice place and started the conversation..general introductions and chit chat..few newtfmpage DF personalities were discussed including their loyalties..he he..pithamagan was played and we listened to a live review by suresh abt the album..:-)..Both Suresh and C~P were amazed by my street smartness :-)..Whenever they mention abt any place in chennai i simply said "I have never been to that place" (just for fun,and they beleived)..
  Discussed abt the 25th grand meeting..Discussed abt IR,Pithamagan,ARR,Boys,Shankar,Sujatha,Kadhir,Bhava,Harish,Asianet,sapthaswarangal,SRM college,mylapore,kamal,Thiruvasakam in symph,CIT,PSG Tech,Raajangham,software,pulli raaja,tv serials,deepavali releases,Satellite channels,cicket etc etc
  Infact i went thru my vivekananda rapid ENGLISH course material before the meeting coz of Suresh..but for our releif(C~P and me) Suresh didnt use his weapon often..:-))
  it was gettin dark and we decided to part..C~P left and Suresh dropped me at the near by bus stop.Though C~P was only 3 years old when Suresh passed out from college and i will be 29 when C~P passes out from his college we didnt hav anything(age??) preventing us from having a very jovial discussion..it will be more fun on the 25th..waiting eagerly !!
  Pls go thru the agenda given by Suresh and let us know your suggestions..we hav only 2 weeks +..

  Looks like you guys had a great preliminary meeting, the real meet should be a cracker, though the sad possibility of folks pulling out at the last moment remains :( Though LLD promised to take complete care of the snaps, the above posts re-inforce the suspicion that he would focus on the passerbys rather than the intended objects, so better bring your individual cameras along :)

  poi solla oru alavu kidayaathaa...before this meeting i am sure u wud have imagined "Woodlands Drive-In" to be a place where Santhana Kadathal Veerappan would drive in to collect all the Sandal woods that are transported there by aeroplanes!! ... intha azhagula long time since uve been to Woodlands Drive-In -a? ... ungalukkey nyayama irukka?

  Hope magix does not disappear for the big event like Swami missing the vital match in Swami and Friends! Waiting for a kindly bullock-cart driver to rescue lost magix!
  Any place within 20-30min of Central is fine for me, as I'd probably need to board the Cheran that night.
