  Pls visit http://www.orientalrecords.com/ Under ilayaraaja -> assorted section, the CD 'Soothing songs from South Wind' has 'Pon Vaanam'. 'Mayanginen' is in the collection 'Golden Duets'. You will find more great collections in there. Please buy original CDs.

  I dont know which morons do the song selections for this pre-recorded CDs, but they do a thorough job of messing the song selections and sequences.
  For example, a CD titled ilayaraaja's lilting melodies will have ilamayenum poongaatru along with podhuvaaga en manasu thangam.
  
  How I wished that some of our DFers were actually there in the selection panel!!

  Attention SHIBU:
  Hi!
  I happened to watch a Malayalam song sung presumably by Yesudas, picturised on Mohanlal, in Dubai. It was about 8 minutes long and was an ABSOLUTE GEM, where the MD has blended Kalyani Raga with some Persian/Arabic notes. The tune and the melody progression is so complex that only some veteran like Yesudas/Srikumar/SPB would have done justice.
  The pallavi starts with: 'Aakaasha Thaamara POle'
  It's been a while since I came across a milestone number like this. Do you know which film it is from? Is there a sample available on the Net so all our fellow TFM surfers get a taste of it?

  I have heard that song. I think it is in one of the recent films. It is probably " mazavillu". I think the style of music is more like Vidyaasagar. KJY has done a great job.
