Vijay's BADREE songs r out!!!!!!!

They r way too many songs in the album n i reaally think that they r a bunch of "exciting songs""""""""....!
They r composed by telegu muic director ramana gokula.......!
The best song is the haunting KATHAL ENBATHU UTHADUGHAL.....,LAILA OH LAILA,.....THE ENGLISH SONG TRAVELLING SOLDIER...........
I haven't listened to the rest yet........but KATHAL ENBATHU is gonna race up the charts in no time!

  I heard RamaNa Gokula is going to use the same tunes he made for the original telugu movie 'Thammudu'., (He is a busy IT person, I heard, probably no time to recreate Moods ;-)
  
  Can anybody confirm ? Thammudu has atleast two good songs I remember.,

  Its very interesting,I met Mr.Ramana Gokul.
  a in Hyd like in 97 when i was working there.
  That time Mr.Ramana was the VP marketing for SYBASE INC ASEAN region.
  That when I was taking with him,he mentioned that he is releasing out a music album with his friends.
  And man surprise to hear that he is a busy MD for telugu films and now entry into tamil films.

  He came out with a private album (even video) in Telugu which went on to become a big hit..the first of its kind in Telugu. It was also remade in Hindi which was telecast on channels like Zee, Star, etc.
  
  He then quit Sybase India and composed music for Venkatesh and Priety Zinta (her first in Telugu) starrer "Preminchukundham Raa..." which went on to become a big hit. From then on he has become a full fledged MD.
  
  Couple of songs of Badri in Telugu were also hits and the movie also boosted the image of the hero Pawan Kalyan...brother of Chiranjeevi.

  Review of Badhree..
  
  I had anticipated the release of this album for a long time. The telugu version was a hit and as the MD for the tamil was also the same, I was delighted to think that we had a new and promising MD enter the tamil scene. But my biggest disappointment was that they just reused the same tune and music from the original telugu album! Now I guess they wanted to dub the film in a wholesomely manner. Unfortunately, the lyrics are not much to talk about and the choice of singers leaves me baffled. There is one singer who is repeated throughout the album by the name of DeviSriPrasad. I think he is telugu. He has a youthful voice but really it doesn't have the soft and soothing tones of other singers. I can guess that for songs of this genre, SPB can't be used, at least, for most of them, but they could have opted for people like Yugendhran, SPB Charan, Srinivas(sings one song) etc. But they used unheard voices. And the worst part is, Vijay himself has lent his horrible vocals to a song. Really, he should stop singing. Last song he sang and only song he sang well was the 'O baby baby' number from Kadhalukku Mariyaathai. Anyhow, here is a review of my choices.
  
  1. Angel Vandhalae - by DeviSriPrasad and Chithra. The song has youthful tones and a repeating musical beat. It's quite nice in the sense that it starts of with the male voice doing a western form and changes as Chithra sings a classical 2nd charanam. But the pallavi is catchy and may stay in the minds of the youth.
  
  2. kaadhal solvadhu - by Srinivas and Suneetha. This will probably be the one that will get into the charts. At least, the lyrics in the pallavi help to elevate its position. It's a light romantic number but IMO, it starts to fall apart in the charanam as they seem to have tried to incorporate mediocre lyrics.
  
  3.Travelling Soldier - by Ramana Gokula. This number is a straight lift from the telugu film. No problem since the entire song is in english. It's quite inspiring but I don't know how it will cater to the B and C center audience. This is a training song where in the original version Pawan Kalyan prepares for his boxing match.
  
  4. Ennoda Laila - by Vijay. Unbelievably mediocre singing by Vijay and insipid lyrics by Pazhani Bharathi. The original telugu version was a sensational hit due to Ramana's excellent rendition as well as good, catchy lyrics. I have no idea why Vijay tries to sing if all he can do is butcher a song. This is one song that could have been passed on to the likes of SPB Charan, etc. Even SPB could probably have done well, although after hearing Ramana gokula sing it in telugu, one would wonder how it could be sung by a soft and melodious voice. But I admit Ramana had a lot of zest in his version.
  
  The album has 10 songs. But don't be startled. A number of them are bit songs. It goes to show that one should keep expectations quite low. I was hugely disappointed because of the lack of novelty. I was sure that the only song they would reuse was 'ennoda laila' but they reused the entire telugu album. But if you are tired of the run of the mill albums and want to listen to some new versions and a new sort of musical arrangement, you can go for this album. The youngsters will probably like it.

  Actually, Ramana Gokula has his own software company right now. He is quite busy with that. I guess he will only compose for Pawan Kalyan's films. Yuvaraju was a disappointment to me. Anyhow, for a good interview of his, find at http://www.idlebrain.com

  Ellaame sari but saying Ramana gokula voice is good is not acceptable to me atleast. His voice may be better than Vijay. No doubt about. His telugu tunes would have been much better off with SPB/HH/Srinivas etc., And from Thammudu to Badri, the types of tunes or similar or easily predictable or follows the same pattern. To me he is a kind of modern version of our SAR.
  
  Last song he sang and only song he sang well was the 'O baby baby' number from Kadhalukku Mariyaathai. This is not true. Vijay did few songs under Deva and Vidya Saagar. (I think Chandira Mandalathil from Nilave Vaa is by Vijay)
  And 'allah' from Chandraleha (IR is the MD) also by Vijay.

  Ramana gogula used to work for Sybase as Regional director.Later,he started his own company called Crystal software Inc(something like that).
  Telugu hero Venkatesh's friend happened to listen to Ramana's private album 'Alai Laila'(Hindi/English).He suggested Ramana's name when venkatesh was looking for new MD for his 'Premante Idera'.Album instantly became popular.
  Pawan Kalyan,brother of chiranjeevi was doing 'Tammudu'(now remade into Tamil with Vijay as Badri).RG approached Pawan since he is more interested in westren beats including complete english song in Telugu movie.Tammudu got released and made sensation movie wise as well music wise.
  Infact,first time listeners didn't like at all in the beginging.Later,they reached hights.This Tammudu is nothing but a modified version of Hindi hit Jo jeetha wohi sikindar (Amirkhan starrer).After the tremonding success of Tammudu,Pawankalyan planned another movie with RG.
  It was Badri released last year.This time this duo came up with a complete Hindi song in that telugu movie which became biggest hit.All songs were well populared.Somehow,for his next film
  Pawan opted Manisarma.This film is going to be released in April.This movie's producer is AMRatnam.It's nothing but a remake of Tamil hit 'Khushi' with few major changes.Bhumika is the heroine.Surya is the director.SOngs have become hit now.

  Preminchkundam raa had two composers incidentally. While Mahesh had composed almost all the songs, Mani Sharma was roped in to compose a key number, 'Pellikala Vachesindhi'. Though Mani had lifted his tune for this song lock stock and barrel from the Mory Kante number 'yeke yeke'.

  Now a days,we are getting few good songs in Telugu movies..We had a good time when IR in swing.After that Maragathamani Keeravani had brought some melody numbers for us.Koti is more repetetive like SAR.He has also lost his market longback,but came up with recent hit 'Nuvve kaavali'(Remake of mallu movie 'Niram').Manisarma,this guy is doing crap all the time.But,it will be the perfect match for a commercial movie.He has given good numbers in his earlier movies.He is also repetetive.SAR,I need not tell much about this guy since you aware of him well than me.Over all,Tollywood music situaltion is like that.

  Thank you very much. Is Narashima Naidu a hit film or hit album. True, I feel Ramana and Mani Sharma follow same pattern in all movies. After listening to one or two movies you will find it sickening. Keeravani and Koti are better in giving variety songs but they do not get much chances these days. Kalikaalam! Chourasyia(Ninne Pellaaduthaa) is good too but he seldom scores music.
