If SP Bala is so great , why has Bollywood rejected him?

SP bala never sings in hindi...he is not in demand!

By the way I am being devils advocate here, I myself am a great fan of SP bala but i would like the listeners reaction to this statement

  I agree SPB is the only singer that has done justice to original R.D.Burman, although the originals were sung by Rafi , KK, mandey, mahendra kapoor.

  I agree with U because Rafi,Manaday etc were very
  legend personalities and only s.p.bala can sing that songs and he has proved in that show "yeh sham mastani" in which he sungs rafi,kishor and manaday's etc songs in his voice And good thing is he sung all songs in his own style. He didn't copy to any singer. Therefore I ever like him. I m a muslim and lived in Pakistan. And every person who like s.p.bala is my freind by birth. So I wana add u in my freind list. Would u give me ur email address so that we may be intouch with each others. And please keep me informed about any and updated about the s.p.bala. Thx.

  could u tell me please. Who is Manu? His voice is sometime contra with the S.P.bala. But he cant sing like him ever. But I think he copy to s.p. Pls tell me if anything you know about him. I mean who is he? and any relation with s.p. or he may be pupil of s.p.bala?

  Yes, his name is Mano, there is another imitator known as Arunmozhi, both of these TRY to imitate SPB, but they have never succeeded.
  
  Mano sang that song "Muqala muqabulah laila, oh laila", it is an ARR film, he has only sung about 5-10 Hindi songs, so far, Mano said, SPB is his idol, hence he try to imitate him. Mano used work IR, not as musician, but as helper for the musicians.
  
  Do you know, that SPB has been singing since 1966 till 2002, sung over 40,000 songs, composed music for more than 70 films, and has 7 national awards to date, followed by innumerable film fare, state awards.

  Repeating the same lie a hundred times will not make it the truth. You have been told by several people, several times, that SPB has so far won the national award 6 times and KJY has won it 7 times. But you stll keep repeating that SPB has won it 7 times.
  
  Your adoration of SPB is understandable, but try to check the accuracy of your statements before you repeat them wherever you can. The numbers that I quoted are accurate according to the official records.
  
  The more I read the stuff that you post, I am covinced that:
  
  "chappaaththi chappaaththi thaan, rotti rotti thaan"!

  Padma awards are national honours given for outstanding citizenship whereas national awards are given for excellence in various aspects of the movie industry. They are not the same.

  Hey Guys, One thing not all can achieve in all the aspects. Every body has their won limits. Sp Balu is a gifted singer, without any training in Music , he is able to render all sort of songs so beautifully , that too with intense feeling. I think these may be the possible reasons for not singing in Bollywood:
  1. Those days SPB was most mobilized in Kannada, Tamil, telugu film industry.
  2. All the recordings were done in Chennai , so he did n ot find tough to record songs in south indian languages.
  3. But , to record a song in HIhndi, he should go to Munbai for recording a song, which will definitely spoil his career in south india.
  4. and also one thing, it is not the no of songs rendered, but the quality of the song and impact of the song on audience. listen to his songs like "Tere MEre beech mein kaise .." , wow its simply superb, also songs in LOVE and HAHK are marvellous.
  5. he miight have sung less songs in hindi, it doesn't mean that he is SMALL., Even LATA has not sung in Tamil or Kannada or Telugu , Will anyone tell that she is not a Good Singer???
  6. Songs in Roja or HAHK are really famous in Bollywood, u cannot say that Bollywood rejected Balu.
  7. Balu din't chose Bollywood, he was satisfied in Tamil , Kann and Telugu film industry. HE is also a human, he too has his own limitations .
  8. No one can say , Bolly wood rejected Balu, but he didnot get time to go to bollywood.
  
  OR u mean that, a singer is GREAT only if he sings in HIndi Film Industry??????
  
  NO body can pin point Balu's talent in singing..
