yeah, man, i'm right now on cloud nine, having just met the maestro himself. what a man, what humility! there was no scope for a chat, as he was extremely busy with the re-recording for KN. but it might materialise tomorrow. any questions u want me to ask him, folks?

Cram,
definitely about the symphony.. and missing of the violins.tabla/guitar from his BGMs.

Cram,
Please convey to him that there are many of his well-wishers who still believe he can regain the No.1 throne in TFM. "Malai En.. " is my current favorite and please thank him for giving that wonderful song.(What a great BGM work in that movie!)
My questions
Q1. How about showing more attention to the recording quality of his songs?
Q2. In this world of marketing, how about holding more press conferences, that may bring better directors to use him?
Q3. How about not using Bhava?
Q4. How about accepting the fact that subtle changes are needed to capture the younger listeners?
Q5. How about bringing new talents(not the once like ARR, but real talents)?
Q6. How about getting along with VM?
Q7. How about not blaming the whole world for the temporary downslide?
Q8. How about forgetting the past disputes and start a new beginning?
If u could find some answers to the above questions, I will be thankful
Thanks
Balaji

Hi,
Please ask him why he has failed to respond to the new technology invasion of music and why he has not responded to the yearnings of his fellow fans for a better music better than other MD's.
- From: Sudhakar G (@ ckcfpxy1.att.com)
on: Tue Jan 4 10:59:33 EST 2000
Cram, do ask him why he has switched to using Synth stuff, when he was a master with the traditional instruments. I strongly disaggree with people who feels IR should use new technology. The transition to the so called "new technology" and "new style" is probably letting him down. He is not playing to his strengths..

Can you also ask him to take in less work so that he can put in more effort to make each song great. Also, please tell him to concentrate on the lyrics in the songs. Because a lot of his good songs are messed up by awful lyrics. Thanks. BTW, IR doesn't have to go to VM for good lyrics. There are plenty of good lyricist who will do wonders if they are given a chance. Ask him why not give them a chance?

f I would have one question to ask him, that would be What is the real story behind his symphony?. If he is not going to
release it, does he have any plans to come forward openly to apologize to the fans, for misleading them and disappointing
them endlessly?

Cram,
Plz convey him our new year wish to him from TFM page.
My questions,
1.why he is not using more interludes with his basic thread in a song.(this is where ARR strikes rich) actually IR is the one who did that of late he is not doing this this the main reason thats his song lacks bite?
2.why he is not allowing KR to do more films of his own?
3.what happened to his Rec.theatre Raja Music Universal?
Have a great time Cram...

Ofcourse cram will not asking the questions verbatim, like for eg, the way v balaji has put it :) Are you guys serious ? It is not polite man !!. Sure cram if I were you ask him we want more like 'Guru' (mal). Tell him Yuvan is a great asset atleast in sound engineering. Tell him we are all clamoring for real instruments as they complement his sweet melodies well. Basically, most of the questions here were good you can ask them if you can come up with a positive spin on each of them. Good Luck

Cram,
As many people have already written, please convey our(fans') newyear wishes to him and also enquire about his health.Tell him there are millions of people praying for his sound health.
You should talk to him about some great compositions that he has given during the last 3-4 years like Guru, YathraMozhi,KM and request him to continue doing that.
The biggest message I would like to be conveyed is his music continues to motivate countless fans like us and so he should never have an impression that the current rhythm style music might overshadow his melody style and so focus on what is his forte, melodious compositions.
Thanks,
Athi

Hi Cram,
1. Please tell him that his fans would like him to work with some good banners and teams! Of late he is been associated with some unknown 3rd rate teams and movies, which never reached a wider audience and which didn't extract the best from him(lack of good marketing is one of the reasons)!
2. Please tell him we all loved his GURU.
3. Plus, it would be GREAT if he could come up with an absolute gem of an Instrumental (part vocal) Album in association with a GOOD, reputed music label that can ensure a good marketing and as a result a good reach to a global audience!
4. What happened to his son, Karthik Raja? After his Ullasam and Grahan, I thought he would perform a Hattrick! Well, what's stopping him from signing more movies?
Thanks a lot.
Neels

Cram,
Ask him to scout good Thamizh lyricists and introduce a new one in every movie. This alone will bring him up to speed.

on: Tue Jan 11 14:17:30 EST 2000
Udhaya, that is a very good suggestion.
Raju, I think Hungary is the cheapest place one can hire a full fledged orchestra. Remember, the Budapest Orchestra guys played for 'Guru'. I think in terms of BGM. Hey Ram, is going to be WCM treat (based on this). The songs though were a disappointment to me in that respect. Recording is not a big deal as he would probably bring the tapes and mix them here.
Everybody has been wondering why IR does not come up a Guru like album. I think this has got to do with costs. Again I am not here support to rationalise everything he does. But I remember in an interview he said, for Guru, Mohanlal told him it seems it can be a 'cost-no-object' matter. So he went to compose for a full orchestra. I also think these days his fees is much lower than ARR.
