class songs, crap picturizations

"class songs but crap picturizations" is the topic....my first choice would be "pani vizhum malar vanam"...really pathetic treatment for a classic song..share your "PAINFUL PICTURIZATION' experiences in TFM world...

  1)'Ilamai Ennum Poongatru'-Totally horrible picturization looks more like malayalam sex movie scene
  2)'Poove Sembum Poove Unvasam varum'-There is no coordination between the song and dance and the scene moreover Radharavikku Yesudas voice -poor taste
  3)'Masi Masam Alana Ponnu'-Once again poor taste by the Dir. shooting in a Horse stable with people dipped in oil horrible

  hey guys..how about "metti oli kaatrodu en nenjai thaalaata"....that must a real crap picturization for a "world class" song...my god..while the song is a wonderful duet (IR & SJ), all i can see in the picture is Radhika, Vadivukkarasi and some other oldie...all women for a "duet" song (and that too three women?!!!)

  I was very disappointed for Chandiranai Thotathu Yaar (Ratchagan) ... such beautiful lyrics but had people running around on lake jetties while others dressed as Red Indian wannabes .. gross
  Vaseegara picturisation was a total waste .. more than Reema Sen yearning for his love and expressing it tenderly, it was more like sexual advances and mauling each other ...

  yes simran...vassegara's picturization killed the tenderness of the song & negated the wonderful rendering by Bombay Jayashree...and how about 'Kannodu Kaanbathellam" from Jeans - a good carnatic number that was completely spoiled by Graphic madness...pathetic & painful....

  I think one of the crappiest picturisations goes to "Aval oru navarassa nadagm" from Ulagam Suttrum vaaliban. It was a cut and paste affair from some japanesse documenatry with no relevance to the song. The story goes that the decision to have it that way was made by none other than puratchi thalaivar himself.

  From Amarkalam, the song 'Sattam Illatha Thanimai Ketten' was not at all the way I pictured it. I thought the song would show various shots to illustrate the beautiful lyrics, but all we got was Ajit doing his modern day siva thandavam. Oh well, I guess it fitted in wit the movie's storyline anyway.

  How about "Solla Thudikkuthu Manasu" that murdered all-time classics such as "Poove Sempoove" and "Thenmozhi"?
  
  How about Keyaar who had the likes of Napolean, Ramki and Mohini floating around in Bharathiraaja- white for that great "Unnai Ethirpaarthen" in "Vanaja Girija". Or even "Munnam Seydha Varam"?
  
  How about K Bhagyaraj who made a mockery of a richly harmonic "Vandhal Vandhal Raajakumari" in "Ooru Vittu Ooru Vandhu"?

  hi suresh..couldn't agree with you more on that 'vandhaal vandhaal raajakumari' song..what an excellent song and look how bad it was picturized...And madhanraj, yes..same feeling on the ANBE SANGEETHA song...first i could not believe that was scored for thengai seenivasan...unbelievable song by our dear maestro...what do you guys think of "dhaiveega ragam thevitaadha paadal" from Ullasa paravaigal...another CSCP (Class song crap picturization)...would add more soon...

  Ilamai Yennum Poongathre! The most SICKENING picturisation ever...ewww...disgusting! I even considered never to hear the song again as the picturization was really lewd and pops back to my mind everytime I hear it. I wished I never saw it, and stuck to hearing the song alone!

  The reason it had to be so sickening is because of the situation in the movie (girl and boy have sex the first time they meet). "Chinna kannan azahikiran" from Kavikuyil dealt with the same theme in a classier manner (bee polinating flowwer is put to good use).

  Who says picturisation doesnt matter? As a matter of fact, Ilamayenum Poongaatru was the worst picturisation Ive ever seen. Thats the crux of the matter.

  U Guys missed out one of the worst picturizations.
  
  "Ilamanadhu Song" from the film Selvi. This is an excellent melody composed by IR which had been wasted for DOGS. Am not joking. This song has been used for a DREAM SEQUENCE OF A DOG.
  
  IMO this is the worst picturized song of this century and for the creativity, the Director's BRAIN has to be placed in the world famous MUSEUM.

  Nothing can beat the song 'Enakku Piditha Paadal ' (Julie Ganapathi). I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this classic song being picturized on 'Car wipers'. Reflects the poor taste of the director. IR gives his best to Balu Mahendra.. and Balu Mahendra kills the song with his tasteless picturization. Not only Julie Ganapathy, check out the songs in any Balu Mahendra's movie.. (Rettai Vaal kurivi, Marupadiyum, Nireekshana (telugu), Chakra Vyuham (Telugu) etc), you can see what I mean.

  'Konji Pesu Kobam Konda Kannamma' from Kaadhal Kavithai was murdered on screen as a title song, while the director (Agathiyan) decided to include craps like thathom..

  literally, the song was picturized for two dogs. u wudnt believe, dogs dressed in white dressed with a number of dogs with BIKINI dress running behind the hero n heroine dog.....bugger.....the director shud b killed.

  The song Ulagame mirugamai from IVan, The song has been thorughly spoiled in the movie a)louzy picturisation 2) additional sound effects 3) the picturisation gives a feeling of pettai rowdy rather than social reformist.
  This is one of the great song of IR for the fabulous orchestration.

  Hey guys, u all forgot the lousy picturization of 'Malare Mounama' from karna...there was abosolutely no emotions on the face of Arjun and Ranjeeta....the only meaningful sequence in the song was the passing by of buddhist monks near the running stream, in the first interlude to match the music...otherwise, the picturization was lousy...a total disappointment...
