Yesudas and Illayaraja

With so many topics opened, I have not seen one that discussed these two great musicians. Yesudas and IR have provided TFM some soothing melodies and wonderful songs. Let me start by opening the thread with "Edho Ninaivugal" ... This song has mesmerized me for a long time. Please bring out the best songs with these two and I would personally like to get a list of the songs and keep it safe for a million years.

PS :: Please for heaven sake do not drag ARR into this... This should be purely related to KJY and IR with comments related to the songs and their beauty.. Awaiting your responses....

  Hi Everybody - One of the all time hits of KJY and IR is "Agaya Vennilavae' from the film 'ArangetraVelai'. This
  is a duet by KJY and Uma Ramanan. Listen to that and you will notice how difficult it is for normal people like us to

  I recall one song of IR where KJY was an earsore! That was the song 'vachchikkavA unna mattum nenjukkuLLa'. Imagine KJY singing dappanguththu!!! Possibly Jayachandran or Malaysia might have been more suitable for that song.

  The song "Sri Ramanin Srideviyey" is sung by Rajini when he is in on the lookout for Sridevi. Most of the shots for the song show Singapore in Day and Night. I have song on "Priya" CD. I dont know as to how you missed on LP..

  Recently a new VCD titled 'Hits of KJJ' has been
  released. All the 14 songs there are by IR. It
  is an excellent collection. Some excellent, but
  not so well-known songs such as kaNNaalE
  kaadhal kavidhaiyai sonnaaLE (Athma) and
  andha Erikkarai mElirundhu (Chinnathaayee)
