Kovil by HJ

Saw the trailor this morning of KOVIL...first impression , for a change the songs sounded genuinely folkish..but none of them were catchy hearing the first time .May be once the full version comes out it would be differrent. Any idea when the songs are gonna be releasing?

  a decent album overall,no way it can compete with KKS or Virumandi!only Arali vedaiyl,Puyale & Sillu Sillu has a catchy feel,others might take time...KKS Theekuruvi & Virumandi's Onna Vida takes over Kovil easily!

  hey when i started the forum..the songs weren;t out and i had caught just a glimpse of the trailors. On Raag when i listened ... Initial impression was TYPICAL HJ Sounds....i think all of the numbers were sounding catchy...i think songs are gonna become a big hit...

  Silu Silu reminds me a lil of theekuruvi and sumthin else i cant put my tongue on it.the way the lyrics are sung on a run.But i like that style so its cool.That song and Kadhal Panna are my favorites from the album rest are summar.i like the lyrics in kadhal panna and how i think vadivelu and grandma go at it then comes main voices singing wonderfully with his entry.

  Don't get any songs from Tamilstate.com
  
  Horrible encoding. All the way from Konji Pesalaam. and sad thing is other sites puts up same version and irritates too. Like Thendral is condemned and Mohankumar has also used the same version at his site.....

  Horrible album by hj.. antha chimpancy movie'ku music adicha ipadi than irukum. kks, u18i20 far far better than this album. only silu silu sounds ok. even that cannot say good song. but silu silu doesnt reminds theekuruvi at all. if u compare theekuruvi and silu silu.. definitly silu silu is better than theekuruvi. because theekuruvi is the worst song in kks and silu silu is the best song in kovil. but kovil is going to be a big flop.

  yea! i agree with MusicIsLife.. silu silu sounds a bit like enai koncham in kaaka kaaka! Harris.. pls dont do music for that chimpansy in future.. even if u give good music its going to be flop because of that monkey.. but in this case music is also not good.. so no doubt in my mind.. 100% FLOP!

  Kokku Meenai from Kovil is the hottest number I have heard in recent times. Truly superb beat and tempo lifts everyone up!!!

  No one has used drums so effectively in recent times, except VS in some songs...great listening to neutral audience. Of course for the so called crazy fans of various other musicians it would be otherwise just for the sake of it...strange

  The "Collegikkum" is just a blant copy of "Kamban Engu Ponnaan Shelly enna aanan" Song from some KB Film.

  Read the kakka kakka thread, when the album came out these arr fans put hj down like anything. But the album was awesome and a big hit. I don't think HJ copied anything from arr for his Samy and Kakka kakka, both were super hits.
