  To my knowledge, Devika's last movie in Tamil, is 'Anbu-ch-chagodaralgal', in which she acted as the wife of Major Sundararajan - released in 1972, which was a good movie.

  As K said, Devika's best performance was in "Neela vanam". Sivaji also said that Devika has ruled the acting in that movie.
  
  Her dual role in Vaanampadi was also very good.
  
  Her own picture "veguLi peN" (Nrimala was the veguLi) was big failure and she was very much lost.
  
  She acted in telugu movies also later (one was Ashoka by NTR).
  
  Devika was really a spectacular actress to be remembered always.
  
  BTW, all Devika's songs except a few, were sung by PS and most of them were hit. we cannot even differentiate whether Devika is singing or PS. Devika was the first actress to go to stage and greet PS when the "Susheela 50" prog was conducted last year. The first song in that prog was "Nejam marapathillai"... yeah it is true.. we can't forget Devika.

  Same in AadiPerukku..
  
  U can See the Performances by both .. No Explanations Required
  
  & The Great Director L.V.Prasad Who Directed Manohara
  Directed B.Sarojadevi in Iruvar ullam Which also Doesn’t Require any Explanations.
  
  Both are Talented in their Own Way..

  With all due respect to the departed soul of Devika, I write the following:
  
  Question to those opposing the wordings "she was sexy" in "podhigai malai" song.
  Will you close your eyes or switch off the TV if the same song is shown in TV?
  Please accept that it was awesome bathing scene in which Devika was dressed & picturised
  very sexy.
  
  In all the devotional movies of yester years, this was observed. Ex: In Kandan Karunai,
  JJ and KRV were picturised in very sexy angles in the song sequences. How abt Padmini in
  Thirumal Perumai. It was so suggestive in the scene wherein she was dressing herself behind
  the saree curatin and Sivaji was very eager to look at. In the same way, Devika's scene in
  Thiruvilayadal. What is wrong is mentioning that the scene was sexy.
  
  Look at the Aandavan kattalai song "Alaye Vaa Auruge vaa Azhge vaa"..., she was
  shown completely drenched. The lines "aalaya kalasam aadhavanale minnudhal pole", my goodess,
  even these days there won't be such angles of picturisation. It was very suggestive. Pity that
  the talented artists were exposed like anything. The directors/producers enjoyed overwhelming
  response and money out of all these things.
  
  The above was not hurt anyone not disrepect the artists but only to express my personal feeling.

  devika fan, OBE meant One Breast(or colloq. Bust) Exposed. Yes the saree would be worn in such away that the blouse would be exposed. ( It is hard to imagine but that was about the exposure done those days & Devika was a sort of pioneer in that aspect. Later on it was picked up by others like Rajashree, Kanchana, Jaya lalitha & others.

  Here, I recall the film review on thiruvilaiyaadal in the old tamil magazine 'kanaiyaazhi'. They reviewed particularly the song ' podhigai malai uchchiyile' (having Devika) as a total vulgar one, not relevant with the Film.

  Nagarajan: How can it be vulgar? The whole point of the episode lies in paandiyan's doubt whether women's hair was scented by nature or if it was due only to herbs & podis. I suppose the critics would have flipped if the king was shown in a love scene smelling his queen's hair when he gets this doubt:-)
  
  Didn't devika also star in ithayathil nee, pazhani, balE paandiya etc. I remember only vaazha ninaithaal vaazhalaam from the last one.

  "Nenjil Or Alayam" stands testimony to her talents. In Ananda Vikatan vimarsanam, a particular scene was narrated and her acting was described as " Nadippaa..uyir thudippu". She was one actress who deserved more credit. "Vaazhkai Padagu" was another feather in her cap.

  Same is the case with B.S. Every movie of her had atleast a shot on her back. This is also one of the reasons of her being "Kanavu KaNNi
  " of those days. All heroines were/are having such shots on them. Even pushpalatha had. my goodness, how vulgar is the song and (more is) picturization of aemaara sonnavan naano aen meedhu kobamum thaano, the "left, right left right about turn" part..uwak.

  `Muthalali' was one of her best movies *ing with Rajendran. Who could forget the song `Kunguma pottukkaraa' by MSR & TMS?
  
  One of her early days movie was `Manamagan Thevai' where she sings with comedian A.Karunanithi `Oohu hum mattean' (AMR & Jikki). She acted under her real name (can't remember)in that movie, later she changed her name as Devika.
